When people talk about players "buying into" a manager's philosiphy.

Where did that shite come from?

There's far worse than that in football surely!

Im not a big fan of referring to "the dressing room" as it is, but I've noticed "locker room" creeping into the vocabulary of some players.

Surely one of the worst Americanisms in soccer.

People who go on 'journeys' but haven't actually been anywhere. Seems to happen a lot around becoming unwell... 'So tell us about your diabetes journey' or 'my journey to this stage of my life' or some such other shite.

Reality TV and TV talent shows love a "journey".

Its not a journey, you got to the 2nd round of a singing competition.

Yes, unplayable.  Makes no sense and is only repeated by idiots who think Andy Gray is a good pundit.

I don't mind unplayable, I get what it means.

Admittedky nobody is really "unplayable" but "very difficult to nullify" isn't as catchy!

In the last year I've noticed that "roster" rather than team or squad is starting to slowly creep it's way into football over here.

People, usually English people or lad bible types, who say banter when they mean patter.

"That girl has great banter" for example. Most folk probably don't even notice but it really annoys me.

Top bantz with the guys.
