PASTA Mick
I'm sure tartanpar will correct me, but this is what I think the final pots will be - POT 1 Belgium, Croatia, England, Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Portugal, Spain, Wales. POT 2 Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Czech Rep, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Slovakia, Switzerland. POT 3 Albania, Greece, Northern Ireland, Poland, Scotland, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Ukraine. POT 4 Bulgaria, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Israel, Hungary, Montenegro, Norway, Rep of Ireland, Turkey, POT 5 Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, Finland, FYR Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova. POT 6 Andorra, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, San Marino. What a difference between these potential groups - Spain, France, Scotland, Turkey, Finland, Georgia. Wales, Iceland, Scotland, Faroe Islands, Moldova, San Marino.

PASTA Mick
Albania in pot 3 ahead of Ireland, Turkey, Norway etc ?! They beat Portugal away and drew with Denmark so far in this campaign. Also beat Armenia who were ranked above us in the Euro 2016 draw.

PASTA Mick
Very good! I would agree with all of that! To be honest, it's all about avoiding Italy and France in Pot 2. If we do get one of them, we have to hope that we also get Wales or Romania from Pot 1.

Toepoke
england is what we want Only the group winners automatically qualify and they're Europe's form team at the moment. ScottishTyke
If they were decent they wouldn't be in Pot 4.... A bit unfair really. Many teams can slip down to pot 4 after a run of poor form, doesn't stop them from being 'decent'. Every qualification campaign you'll see a clutch of pot 4 teams perform well and maybe even qualify. Pot 5 and 6 seem to be the ones which have the same teams in, time and time again. Edited June 16, 2015 by ScottishTyke

Depends how you gauge "decent" I suppose You're not going to see England, France, Germany, Holland etc. in Pot 4. However I agree there's always a qualification challenge coming from some Pot 4 teams. We might even manage it this time ourselves. So it shouldn't be a surprise that there are hard games in store there...

Mainly the likes of Bosnia, ROI, Belgium, Slovenia, us and Wales, all teams that have been in pot 4 in one of the last few campaigns. Whilst not world beaters, there all decent enough to beat one of the elite teams when they get their act together. Though maybe Belgium could be classed as elite these days! radian_13
Don't want home nations, just played them. All the "lets play England" brigade i know London was good but it's about Scotland qualifying not the ones who dont travel getting an easy away day for sesh. Getting a team who usually qualify with no messing about and who just bet us twice isn't smart. Only home nation I'd take would be Wales as an easier pot 1 team but would prefer Romania Edited June 17, 2015 by radian_13

Best option for us from Pot 1 is Romania. They didn't strike me as that great in their match V Northern Ireland at the weekend and they haven't got a player of Gareth Bale's quality that can turn games.
