Wales should never have been in Pot 6 in the first place though - they were playing much worse than their team was capable at the time. I think they are in Pot 1 now. I think they are in Pot 1 now. It's all the more surprising when you consider they haven't really beaten anyone of any note. Since they beat us a second time, they've beaten: Macedonia Iceland Andorra Cyprus Israel and now Belgium. Hardly groundbreaking though is it? Wait - we won't get anything like that in a Qualifying draw... what difference does it make if other Pot 1, Pot 2 teams take 18 points off them - would prefer a stonger team, who we are more confident of taking points off, but who will take points off other teams - although there are certain circumanstances with best placed 2/3rd placed team.
