  1. I don't think that's the case. Each host nation will play 2 home games. The way I read it is Scotland would play two games at Hampden and one at Wembley. England will play two games at Wembley and one at Hampden. That is of course if we both qualify.
  2. If Scotland qualify for Euro 2020 Hampden will host 2 of Scotland's group games - this has already been confirmed. However, the ticket distribution will be done by UEFA. Each team will get an allocation and the SFA will get to distribute the allocation for Scotland fans. There is no way the allocation will be enough for all SSC members. Scotland fans (along with anyone else in the world) will also be able to buy tickets direct from UEFA for all the games (including those taking place at Hampden). I would be quite happy if the SSC introduced home points. It wont make any difference to me but I have some sympathy for the argument. It wont make a huge difference to the distribution of away tickets as most of the people who go to the away games also go to the home games.
  3. We will almost certainly be in League C. From there the teams are split into pots. It is then a draw and three of the groups will have four teams and one group with three teams. Whether we get the group of three or four is just down to the draw. Hopefully we get one of the groups of four.
  4. I don't think they have announced the date of the Nations League draw. It will be after the play offs in November. The Nations League us quite straightforward. As mentioned before, just read about it on the uefa website. Hopefully we will be in one of the groups of 4 (rather than the group of 3) so we get more games.
  5. Maybe but waiting to see where the Eng v Scotland U21 game is being played first.
  6. They are still on sale from the Lithuanian website I believe.
  7. No minimum allocation anymore. We should get around 2k tickets for this game.
  8. Thanks for that post. Very helpful. Unfortunately I don't think there will be many Scots there. Hopefully a 100 or so.
  9. Loads of games have been confirmed. Here are the ones so far: 28/5/17 Mexico v Croatia 31/5/17 Morocco v Netherlands 1/6/17 Switzerland v Belarus 2/6/17 Mexico v Ireland Northern Ireland v New Zealand 4/6/17 Ireland v Uruguay Armenia v St Kitts & Nevin Netherlands v Ivory Coast 5/6/17 Hungary v Russia Belgium v Czech Republic 6/6/17 Israel v Moldova Denmark v Germany 7/6/17 Italy v Uruguay Spain v Colombia Finland v Liechtenstein Georgia v St Kitts & Nevis 9/6/17 Russia v Chile Argentina v Brazil 12/6/17 Belarus v New Zealand 13/6/17 Columbia v Portugal Romania v Chile France v England Australia v Brazil Norway v Sweden Singapore v Argentina
  10. It isnt a good idea for parliament to get involved in the running of their FA. It can very quickly lead to the football team being suspended by FIFA.
  11. I think it is very likely we will play a game before the England game in June.

    Friendly

    Not confirmed by SFA yet.
  13. I think it would be a great idea too. However, he would nee to get the buy in from all the SPFL clubs long before it was arranged. 1 week camp in say Dubai or Abu Dhabi at the start of January with 1 or 2 games. Always loads of teams looking to play in that part of the world in January.
  14. There are no friendly games on the night we play Slovenia. It seems to be an unwritten rule that they don't play on the days of the WCQs (so in March there will be no friendlies on Friday, Saturday or Sunday involving UEFA teams). The only exception was when France played their games against the teams in the small group. UEFA wouldn't want a potential high profile friendly to over shadow a qualifier. We will most likely play on the Wednesday (England and Lithuania from our group have games on that day). There are only 10 friendly matches confirmed in March with Cyprus v Kazakhstan being the latest today. Moldova have 2 games confirmed so will play 3 games in the international break. Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, San Marino, Andorra & Serbia all have friendly games planned in January & February. Iceland and Croatia are playing in the China Cup alongside the hosts and Chile. Iceland are also playing Mexico in the USA next month. Most of these countries have a winter break so will call up home based players (and others who are also on a winter break). It is a great chance for managers to look at other players and get their squad together again. As it is outside the official international match days the clubs don't have to release their players but as they are mostly home based it doesn't tend to be a problem.
  15. The last time we took part was 1997 and just before the tournament our u21s had a qualifier away to Belarus. That meant that we sent a weak squad to Toulon. Apparently the orginisers were not impressed and we weren't asked back. ...until now. That is what I was told a few years back anyway.
  16. There is a draw. "The draw will include the necessary conditions to guarantee the sporting fairness and viability of the competition"
  17. It is quite hard to judge this team as we are playing players who are eligible for the next campaign so playing a really young u21 team and Slovakia are playing their best players and preparing for the tournament. The recent results have been very poor but we are testing out loads of players and playing older experienced teams. Hopefully when the next round of qualifiers start it will all be worth it.
  18. There are always plenty of games available but we dont tend to play that many friendlies. England also have a game lined up in June away to France a few days after the play us. England are always quite good at forward planning for friendly games.
  19. The new stadium hasnt even started yet. It could be Kaunas but Vilnius seems to be the favourite.
  20. Really? Presuming the game is in Vilniua, our allocation will likely be between 550 - 1000 max.
  21. Maybe but surely you would ask a friend or family to buy for you. They were available to anyone for about 4 hours. No queue at all for about 2 of them.
