FEARS of "absolute carnage" outside polling stations on Referendum Day amid a growing atmosphere of intimidation have been raised by the No camp.

C'mon Larky thats hardly main stream reporting.Next to none of the attackes against yes campaigners are being reported in the national press nor by the BBC.I was accused by Murphy of swearing at a pensioner, well what he failed to tell you is that so called pensioner was one of his followers he has bussed in and she had been insulting us at the last 2 prior events. She comes over and tells us to get a job and calls us benifit scroungers but the only thing Murphy and the press hear is her being tely.

Good for the Record.Where is it reported ? Hidden in the birth deaths and marrages? Lets be honest if it was the other way round it would be on the front page of all news papers and allover the BBC,but its not. What do we have allover the media?Fekin egg gate.

Gavin stays over the fence from me and is leading the YES Cardenden group. Both camps had stalls at our village fair yesterday and there was no animosity.

Folk going to both stalls for info from both sides. They even had a good old friendly tug-of-war between the two camps with the NOs coming out on top.Sporting handshakes after it as well.

Why has the mystery of the egg man not been cracked yet. You would think they could scramble some resources to discover the perpetrator. On a more serious side , if it was YES supporter then the press would have been all over it like a rash and have the bloke named immediately. Someone must know who it is - seems like media suppression of the truth once more.

One of the letter in today's online version of the Courier, said the guy had been named (although not in the letter), and that he was not a member of the Yes campaign. So if true, it looks like the authorities, the beeb, STV and the newspapers won't name him, and Murphy and the no campaign can milk the story as much as they can.

Today's Edinburgh evening news has a story about Yes Hearts fans being attacked outside Tyncastle during Saturdays game (by no supporters), but lord pishy pants, says there's no evidence it was or orchestrated by the no campaign.

I stood and chatted to those folk on the Yes stall for 10 minutes or so at around about 1.30, before heading for a pre-match pint. Whatever your politics, a less threatening group of folk it would be hard to imagine. Looking at the footage on the EEN those harassing them look like the sort of scum that make a small section of any club's support. You couldn't conclusively say are associated with BT campaign particularly, as opposed to just neds (of various ages) who are against independence and see a soft target to take out their inadequacies on. Same as you can't be sure that the egg was thrown by a Yes supporter, although the media and BT will obviously happily assume it was.
