Fletcher is a fantastic forward. Granted he is going through a rough patch of form but he is by far and away the best we have up top, in form, and even off form is still better than our other options. His link up is essential to how we play. To say he is gash is quite simply indicative of someone who does not understand football. I await the goals to games ratio.

he's become petrified of the goal which is a massive worry for us and would be for any striker

To say hes fantastic is a bit ott.

Lewondowski is fantastic, Muller is fantastic, Naismith v Chelsea was fantastic, Robbie Keane was fantastic up until around 3/4 tears ago.

Fletcher though?! No hes not fantastic.

Goals to game is terrible for club and country.

Cant use his left foot.

2 goals came from his link up play.

Lets compare Maloney to Fletcher who has been fantastic this campaign.

To say Fletcher is the best we have on offer even when he is off form is a strange one.

Fletcher is weak on his right foot. I have been a supporter of Fletcher and he has been an important player in this campaign, but he was poor in the recent double-header. Naismith can do a good job up front on his own. He's terrific in the air despite being smaller the others. Griffiths is not strong enough, McCormack needs to play off a striker, Rhodes isn't as effective on his own, and Martin doesn't seem good enough at the top level, although he did quite well as a sub against Germany. So that leaves Naismith.

BBC reporting that Wolves Kevin McDonald will be included in the squad when named on Monday.

Puzzled by that..... If Dorrans misses out for him I will not be best pleased. Not that WGS will care like.

Always thought Barry Bannan and James McArthur played alright together in midfield.

That said, Bannan is one of these players who only does well for Scotland if he's been getting the regular games at club level. He's not one of these guys who can sit on the bench most weeks and still turn in a good game at international level. He needs to be playing regularly and it looks as though it's working out for him at Sheffield Wed.
