Ashley has called an EGM to remove Wallace and Nash. Battle stations. I would say Wallace is the good guy but who knows.

Rangers International Football Club plc
("Rangers" or the "Company")
Notice under Section 303 of the Companies Act 2006

The Company announces that it has received a notice dated 7 October 2014 from Mike Ashley, a director of MASH Holdings Limited ("MASH") under Section 303 of the Companies Act 2006. The notice states that MASH holds 4,265,000 Ordinary Shares of 1p each in the Company amounting to 5% of the voting rights of the Company.
MASH requires the Company to call a general meeting of the Shareholders of the Company and to put certain resolutions to Shareholders for inclusion in the business at such a general meeting of the Company (the "Notice"). The Notice puts forward resolutions for the removal of Graham Wallace and Philip Nash as directors of the Company. The Company is currently verifying that the Notice is properly constituted. If valid, the Board intends to seek to have such Notice withdrawn in order to avoid the cost and disruption of an ad hoc general meeting particularly given the Company's forthcoming Annual General Meeting, further details of which will be announced in due course.
The Board is united in its support of the executive team. If the Notice is valid and is not withdrawn, the Directors intend to recommend that Shareholders vote against the proposed resolutions. A further announcement will be made shortly.

There was an awesome theory being flung about by a The Rangers supporter that I know. He reckons the Newcastle fella intends to relegate Newcastle, forcing them into administration, buying The Rangers and bring Newcastles best players to The Rangers.

Deluded .

Deluded bunny rabbit.

How about taking The Rangers to Newcastle along with the bad element of their support?

Ashley move this morning is an interesting one.

If the market rumours are to be believed then Nash & Wallace are the genuine business guys trying to get things on a semi even keel and have put a stop to some dodgy dealings.

The Easdales are just fronts for Blue Pitch/Margareita and whatever faceless dodgy middle eastern businessman really owns the club.

Ashley has no loyalty and might just want his hands on the assets and the £.

No matter what, the fun and games continue.

Move has been made just after King, Murray (203rd time) and Letham have offered a package.

May be Ashley's way of stopping them, or could be a way to get them in....

A package is great but at the end of the day any money coming in means existing shareholders diluting their control of the club. Not something they want to do.

It is rediculous. The money to be made at rangers is in a different (much lower) league to Newcastle. TV revenue alone at Newcastle is mental. You could avoid signing a couple of players and instantly be £20/30m up.

Looks like Paul Murray and George Letham are putting a funding package together. This is rumoured to involve Dave King although Murray stated last night the it remains confidential. This probably explains what Ashley has called an EGM to remove Wallace and Nash. This funding package need only require board approval and it looks like the five board would be 3-2 in approval of the funding. The funding would be a loan which of course would be converted into shares. Increasing the voting rights of the good guys
