exile
Scottish Parliament: Constituency polling: SNP - 48.0% LAB - 27.7% CON - 12.7% LIB - 4.7% GRN - 3.7% UKIP - 2.3% Others - 0.8% List polling: SNP - 38.6% LAB - 22.1% GRN - 13.1% CON - 12.0% LIB - 6.5% UKIP - 6.5% Others - 1.2% Seat projection: SNP - 65 (-4) LAB - 29 (-8) GRN - 13 (+11) CON - 12 (-3) LIB - 6 (+1) UKIP - 4 (+4) Other - 0 (-1) So predicts SNP clinging to an overall majority of 1, and Greens the 3rd biggest party ahead of Cons and Libs. And a UKIP bridgehead. (But no socialists.)
Big Dod
Think the message is 'be possitive' rather than criticising the opposition; let them make their own mistakes. I think most people would prefer something along the likes of "Vote SNP, get...a party that will oppose austerity, fight to remove Trident, and work tirelessly for a better deal for Scotland". Most people must be sick of this "Vote x get y" nonsense by now. I agree a positive message is preferable but, let's be honest, when the SNP get on the telly or in the papers they are always replying to some made up claim or another from Labour. The softly softly approach almost worked in the referendum but almost is not good enough. Some more time on the offensive and with Labour on the back foot is what I want to see. They need to shout from the rooftops about how Labour (and the LD's) back Trident and austerity and how them and the tories are just different shades of the same establishment shite. Flora MaDonald
We cannot afford to be the nice-guy anymore. This clown Murphy's already all over the shop - he should be getting hammered. Like Big Dog says, we spend half our time defending out and out lies, which a decent / normal media would see through prior to them even making it to a debating scenario. Some of the stuff on Wings just now is fantastic. I never even knew a complaint against the Daily Labour regarding the 'Vow' was upheld by the Press Complaints Commission. I get where you are both coming from, but the difference between this G E campaign and the referendum is that this time 'we' are starting in the lead (if the polls are accurate). The SNP can go on the attack in a much subtler way, by emphasising what they are rather than what the opposition is not.

Clyde1998
The people who published the figures seem to have deleted their message - maybe they were published before they were supposed to be... The poll is being published by Survation tonight for the Daily Record - hopefully they'll show the same numbers...

iainmac1
How they voted in the referendum pretty much match the result. It would have been interesting if they asked them their current opinion on independence.

Has there been any polling done by the snp and if so is there any indiaction what their seat count may be
