Survation Poll

So the Murphy effect is taking hold then? :-))

It will. I's just a question of time. He has been on TV and radio virtually non stop since he became leader. The Westminster media propaganda machine is swinging into action. It worked in September, so it might work again.

Holyrood Voting Intentions (Constituency):

SNP - 50.8%

LAB - 24.6%

CON - 15.1%

LIB - 4.8%

Others - 4.7%

That would give the SNP an overall majority - with 69 constituencies. Labour would be wiped out and the Conservatives on three and Lib Dems on one.

Holyrood Voting Intentions (Regional List):

SNP - 39.8%

LAB - 23.8%

CON - 13.7%

GRN - 9.0%

UKIP - 7.1%

LIB - 5.5%

I need to work out the regional list results.

As much as that Holyrood poll is good - 77 pro indy MSPs.

5 UKIP MSPs sticks oot like a sore thumb. We'll hear the usual shite "We aren't different from England after all" like we did when Coburn nabbed that last seat. Prefer to even see 5 more Labour or Tory MSPs over UKIP getting any at all.

The large(ish) UKIP voting intention is only due to media (probably) so when the Scottish election comes around UKIP would probably get hardly any media coverage and people would be less likely to vote for them.

It might do, but His Creepiness isn't as infallible as he might think. His recent comments regarding the sale of alcohol at the football appear to have backfired on him, making him look just that wee bit out of step with the mood of the moment. His opponents can - and should - exploit gaffes like that.

I thought he was supporting bringing back alcohol at football. No?

The irony is despite polling much lower in Scotland than England, UKIP possibly have a better chance of winning multiple seats at a Holyrood election than a Westminster one, due to the PR system...

Yup. And the British public's lack of understanding of the PR system will allow them all to start blaming us for the rise of UKIP.

Clearly only one side of the Indy debate has managed to move on. Can't help drawing comparisons with the ANC in South Africa. There its race that trumps politics and here its nationalism.

I think the people who would prefer to see Scotland manage her own affairs should adopt the approach of the Suffragettes and graciously accept defeat - once. And for all.

How the furk did they ever get the vote, I'm wondering............

Our resident north British troll who only started posting around the referendum and surprisingly you won't see commenting about football matters. Have a quick look at his posting content!

Moving up the 'C' list daily.

But like so many its not clever or even mildly amusing.
