But he clearly has looked at Palmer and Considine, knowing neither will be involved for much longer, and realised Patterson, Gilmour and Turnbull will benefit far more from a camp like this, and set Scotland up for years to come. By the next set of qualifiers there will be some players with at least 5 more caps under their belt. I suspect that it's blind optimism. Stones needs a strong center back playing next to him, that's why he looks so good nextĀ to Ruben Dias. England can definitely be gotten at.
