Orraloon
On the back of 'Roosters' potatoes, it states 'From the farm of Jim Fairlie, Perthshire'. Christ, I really need to get a job! Aye, that's some high brow reading material you've got there.

adamntg
Some leaders may have more time speaking during the programme than others, taking into account the different roles and responsibilities of the individual leaders." "The audience has been picked not according to the current polls but a specific ratio. It means from an audience of 200, there will be 40 undecided voters, 35 Tory, 35 Labour, 28 Lib Dems, 21 Ukip, 14 SNP, 14 Green, and 7 Plaid Cymru supporters." http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/apr/02/leaders-debate-cameron-miliband-and-clegg-may-get-more-speaking-time Where did they find 28 Lib Dems? peasoupblu
At the end of the day everyone knows that TV debates make naff all difference to voting, remember Salmond's bounce in his step after the second ref debate...for me it highlighted the pointless nature of it all. By the way I am voting SNP in the hope of retaining the current uk government.

By the way I am voting SNP in the hope of retaining the current uk government. The worrying thing is I think you might be wrong. There will be plenty of people swayed by these debates and how funny, engaging, human etc these people are. I agree that they are pointless though as it takes away from policy and turns it into even more of a personality contest than it is. Truth be told in fact, I wouldn't have them at all. Auld_Reekie
Sturgeon benefited from knowing UK politics far more than the other leaders know Scottish politics. There are a number of points the other leaders could have raised that would have been uncomfortable had they done their research. I still think Sturgeon would have done well but she got an easy ride than I expected to be honest. That and the fact rUK voters/media know little of her meant she was fresh. The decision for Salmond step down was absolutely right - he'd have bossed the debate with over-confidence and arrogance and as we've seen, he's decisive. Sturgeon is a class act just when we need it.

Scunnered
Katy papped? No. The SNP candidate for here is still evil, and I don't see what good replacing a socialist with a moderate would do. But the SNP are more... Tolerable under Sturgeon than Salmond.

Khana Lagur
Say it to his face then Ed? Exactly. Why not tear Farage a new one on live TV and show people you're not a script-managed mannequin? No. The SNP candidate for here is still evil, and I don't see what good replacing a socialist with a moderate would do. But the SNP are more... Tolerable under Sturgeon than Salmond. Can I suggest a moderate one would be more in touch with the reality of real life.
