Fairbairn
"Many of the people who have occupied the Ibrox Boardroom during that period should be ashamed of themselves for the parts they played in dragging this great institution towards near financial ruin." Hmmm..you dont get much closer than Liquidation do you Mr Murray? I read that as people who occupied the Broomloan should be ashamed of themselves..... ShedTA
Is Paul Murray talking about himself and Dave King, who were both involved in the boardroom when it all went wrong for Rangers 1872? could be Parkie...could be.
Langtonian
so the three bears are lending money as opposed to investing? Edited March 24, 2015 by Langtonian

Glasgowmancity
so the three bears are lending money as opposed to investing? Surely that is an investment - albeit a pretty crap one when they aren't charging interest
Parklife
so the three bears are lending money as opposed to investing? Yeah, it's interesting. Im sure there is a very good reason for it...
thplinth
No one can put equity in right now without offering a rights issue which takes along time to organise. They will try to pass a board motion allowing this but it was voted down last time so for now it will be loans.
TartanJon
You would have thought with all rumoured shit going on behind the scenes Paul Murray could have come up with two better examples of the previous board being a bit crap with money. TartanJon
my thoughts exactly. He used the loan players as an example but Kenny McDowell said at a press conference that Ally had already run the rule over them and okayed the deal before he resigned. Obviously the Record didn't pick up the irony of the other example of wasting money through General Meetings. What do the Rangers fans think about the loan ? RenfrewBlue
Is Paul Murray talking about himself and Dave King, who were both involved in the boardroom when it all went wrong for Rangers 1872?You do realise that Paul Murray quit the board after a fortnight in protest at the sale to Craig Whyte and he wanted folk that Whyte was a clown?Kinda ruins your point don't you think? Kinda ruins your point don't you think? I'm well aware of the history. Why do you think Craig Whyte was able to buy the club for 100p? It was on its knees long before Whyte arrived. It was on its knees long before Whyte arrived. If you're aware of the history then why post the previous pish about Paul Murray? And why ask such a stupid question about what the club was sold to Whyte. That's a very well documented set of facts.

Parklife
If you're aware of the history then why post the previous pish about Paul Murray? . Are you dense? Paul Murray was on the board when Rangers started on and continued along the road to ruin. Just because he bailed when Whyte arrived, that doesn't make him not culpable. Just because he bailed when Whyte arrived, that doesn't make him not culpable.Unless I'm mistaken the "Big tax case" was won with a pending appeal. So there was no actual ruin until after Whyte got his grubby mitts on the club.DM had to sell as his business empire had gone tits up and he needed to clear the potential liability off his books to keep the bank happy. As it has turned out the potential liability hasn't materialised. Your point doesn't hold water. Just pish.
