Bzzzz
Anything Florence and the machine have covered. That ridiculously untalented howling womans voice drives me up the fkin wall.
BremnerLorimerGray
I wish I hadn't listened to that How do you know this even existed? I'm sure I stumbled across it one night whilst streaming music at work, maybe on Jango or a similar service. I nearly smashed up the work's laptop after about 40 seconds of it. Andy North Croy
As much as I think he's brilliant....Gary Numan's cover of "U got the look" by Prince.....ah mean, come on Gary.
EvilScotsman
Word's can't describe how bad this actually is. Like others, I was mercifully unaware of this. Unlike others, I'm sensible enough not to subject myself to it!

fringo
It's the trashing of a stone cold classic, fringo. So there. I really like the original too but preferred the cover with a bit of rock guitar. So there.
Barney Rubble
Mull of Kintyre - Wings Ehhhhhh - on what basis was that a cover?
Tartan Eagle
Ehhhhhh - on what basis was that a cover? It's not - it just deserves to be in any music-based thread that features the word "Worst"
ZoltanBuchan
Duran Duran have contributed a few guff efforts in the covers stakes. They all stem from the Thank You covers album with particular lowlights including "Success", "The Crystal Ship". "Lay Lady Lay" and "Thank You". Definitely a contender for albums that should never have been made. The standout track on that album for me was 911 is a Joke, a song about the lack of response to emergency calls in black neighbourhoods. Sung by Simon Le Bon. As much as I think he's brilliant....Gary Numan's cover of "U got the look" by Prince.....ah mean, come on Gary. In a similar vein, much as I love The Pogues, their version of Honky Tonk Woman is truly appalling. Strange, because they've done several other excellent covers. Neither of these two are anywhere as bad as Teenage Kicks by Skunk Anansie, mind.

I can't believe Lou Reed allowed this to happen.
