This is why i wanted burke and morgan in the squad. Guys with pace and the ability to beat a man. Saying that i am glad armstrong is starting tonight. He deserves more chances imo. Even though we’ve got some 1st players missing, we do have some quality in the team. Hopefully we can try to get a grip of midfield and dominate the game. Obviously the last round of results doesnt favour us but our team has mostly epl players and one of celtics best players. Also ukraine dont have zinchenko which is a big bonus. Guest Scot1 Posted September 21, 2022 Share Posted September 21, 2022 If it’s a 4/2/3/1 and McGinn is central of the attacking 3, it’s important he gets involved. Sometimes the game can pass the player by in that position, through no fault of the player. Sometimes it just goes like that. When he’s dropping back to defend the ball has moved forward, by the time he’s got back up to the attack, the opposition have the ball and are on the attack. He’s never really played as a box to box midfielder for Scotland or Man Utd.
