Aw naw that’s not good news. It will be exactly the same for us then.

16 points guarantees you a ticket, with just a few left over for 15 pointers (if there is a 100% uptake from everyone on 16+)

Wales wanting the biggest home support and advantage, you can’t blame them I suppose but if Scotland get past the Ukraine then IMO I’d rather play Austria I think…..

Bales returning from injury and Ramsay getting 10 games with Rangers to gain match sharpness / fitness, still scarred from previous encounters against them!

Away to Austria in Vienna, stadium holds 52,000 approx so could possibly get 3,000 - 4,000 tickets

Basically everyone bar us have conformed that they will play the beaten finalist in a match set for the date of the final, so we are away to Austria or Wales regardless of our result against Ukraine in the most meaningless of meaningless friendlies

Can you imagine anything worse.Hope to f..k we would be allowed to give that one a body swerve.Even thinking about going to that shit makes me want to puke. What a sole destroying atmosphere there would be at that game.

UEFA are insisting the two beaten semi-finalists agree to it, so its happening any way, just the SFA are not really discussing it as such (Ukraine have confirmed it, as have Austria to a lesser degree, with only the Welsh going all out and actually starting to sell tickets for it now, so there is a 100% they will be home that day any way)

We had agreed to it for the Euro play off's in its original form, but then COVID came along and the idea was binned all together.

There is probably no chance tickets will go on sale beforehand from the SFA, so just make sure you are ready the next morning if you want to go to the final or if we end up in a meaningless friendly.

Just wondering where you get all this information from.Is the world cup not run by fifa,so why would uefa be insisting anything of anybody?

Why are uefa getting involved in participants in a fifa tournament?Surely we could refuse to play in that match. What's with the crossover between fifa and uefa? Why if you lose in a play off game in a fifa tournament do the losers then get involved in a game played under uefa? Why is there suddenly a connection between fifa and uefa?Anybody got any ideas why they would want that to happen?

Are the qualifiers not run by uefa, and then the teams that qualify go on be uefa representatives at the fifa world cup??

Must be.Whatever it is,it's a f..king horrendous prospect to be involved in a game like that. The very idea of being involved in that shit is surely enough on its own to drive us on to qualifying.

FIFA run the World Cup, but UEFA are responsible for how their teams qualify for it (UEFA put all their eggs in one basket when there was talk of a expanded World Cup that they could use the Nations League format to get teams to qualify in a similar way as to the Euros, but never happened for UEFA).

To be pedantic, 99% of UEFA will be playing that night (or roundabout that date) in friendlies, and UEFA have sold tv time slots, so need teams playing.

How many tickets have Austria got for the Wales game? Surely we would get the same or more if we play them.

Confirmed as 1800 on Friday.

Doubt we’d get more but we’ll almost certainly get the same (1800).

Welsh fans will have to fork out at least £40 for potential play off final, only to get left with a meaningless friendly against Ukraine....😆😆

Let’s hope that’s the case.

Looks like there’s no chance of home end tickets for Cardiff so hopefully more chance if we were to make it through and get Austria.

I'm guessing if Wales get to the final they're not able to switch the game to the Millennium Stadium to get as many fans in as possible (both home and away)?

We are well into the 90 days that Wales have to have the venue tied down, and even then, there is no way they could get everything ready in time on the basis they MIGHT make the final if they beat Austria first (a Wales v Ukraine friendly in the Millennium?.....)

Chance of a public sale is non existent. Can guarantee there’ll still be some Scots in the home end though.

huh? wrongly so…… get it switched. Nearly 2.5 times the crowd. One off massive fixture in their biggest stadium…… even the Welsh purists should be going for that.

Rightly so.

They have a very good record at that stadium, much better than at the bigger stadium, can't mind what its called now. They are doing their best to get to the World Cup, not please fans of other countries, and their own glory hunters.

They haven't played there for years - why would they move stadium to a ground the majority of their players have never played in just to accomodate a huge away support?

It's within 90 days so they can't change venue anyway.

Bang on.

Wales moving this fixture in the past for play offs hasn't exactly helped them either!
