shanghaiscot
Is anyone else feeling glass half full?
noctonjock
yes definitely glass is half full, with a wee bit more luck we could be sat on 7 points and the irish on 4 , plenty of time for things to change
ParisInAKilt
Yes. Not sure what anyone else could realistically expect. Unfortunately we can't control the past two Germany games which have arguably went against us.
Menschlich
It's a start that all Scotland fans would have been happy with. All very good team performances too. Only downside is the Poland result against Germany and the late McGeady winner. I think finishing 3rd is very achievable.
kmcca5
If I was offered this at the start I would have bitten yer hand off. Very exciting indeed. 3 points is a must next month.....
ParisInAKilt
Do the business next month and we continue on course to qualify.
Wolfgang Overthebar
Half-empty, i'm afraid. Would much prefer to be in Ireland's position - 4 points from two away games that we cannot match.
min
I would have taken our results so far at the start of the campaign, but Germany aren't helping matters now!
northernscum
We have done more or less everything we could have asked for in our 3 games. A few other results have kicked us in the nuts up till now which has left us in a poorer position than we could have been. 3 points against the Irish is now vital and assuming we get that, we will be in a great position. the_fadiator
Half-empty, i'm afraid. Would much prefer to be in Ireland's position - 4 points from two away games that we cannot match. So we need four points against them as we did in the first place really.
Peedie
Completely agree. Games agaisnt Republic will decide alot, I honestly think we will beat them home and away, luck only takes you so far. Should be two cracking games and atmospheres
thplinth
Is anyone else feeling glass half full? Brilliant set of results from the first three games. Half full or half empty does not come into it. We have done very well, for 3 poxy games in. Edited October 14, 2014 by thplinth

Would much prefer to be in Ireland's position - 4 points from two away games that we cannot match. we have gotten a point in Poland. They need to go to Poland and get a point and we need to go to Georgia and win. Tbh it all comes down to the double header
fanatyk
you must feel a bit dissapionted with nil points from Germany as their form is clearly not in place ROI result good for us, don`t remember when we were on top of group after 3 games last time absolutely "must win" games for us and Scotland in November now i hope Scottish party in Warsaw will be witout any unwanted incidents an everybode come back home safely and with good memories
Boynze
Our results, and performances have been good. We cant control.what goes on in other games. Convinced roi are beatable, but their results have been decent. Can see a few draws in the 6 games between us, roi and Poland so key that we don't drop points against gib and Georgia, and who knows about Germany at home. Good start, but funny results in the other games.
Sponge Bob Tartan pants
Have to say our record in games against home nations and yes I put roi in that category is pish!! But still think come the end of this year we will be there or thereabouts.

WeLuvIrnBru
7 points from the next 3 games has to be our target - 7 or 9 and we have a great chance of 2nd place.......guaranteed 3 against Gibralter, 3, 4, 5 points would be deemed poor, 6 would be almost acceptable...... Fred_Zeppelin
Bloody hell, remember Levein, we'd be lucky if we'd seen a striker by now.
Doric
We are on track. Forget other results. 4 pts against Ireland and Poland and we will be fine. Very confident we will beat Ireland.
flynnyboy
Luck? Ireland fully deserved that goal. Nice little draw in Glasgow and we're on our way x That Germany side you played tonight was much changed from World Cup and our game against them. Was almost a B side. Good results for you guys so far but I think we are the better side. Biased? Maybes.

the_burger
The other results won't matter as long as we do the business, and judging on how we've played so far I reckon we will. Btw our goalscoring record away from home must have been transformed under Strachan? Wee Anya has been huge for us in that dept. Great outlet. Armchair Bob
We are where we would want to have been at the start of the campaign. It is just Ireland and Poland are ahead of where they would have expected to be.
