Grim Jim
80's music was mostly shit, but with a few nuggets strewn around several genres. I'm going to ignore the shiny lumps though and just be honest and admit that I love a folky, wee, liberal, fluffy tune called Gun Shy by 10,000 Maniacs. Yeah I know, the band and Natalie had better tunes in the 80's and 90's, but this one's stuck. I'l post for your pleasure anyway

Grim Jim
I'm going to assume Ramy just got bored typing and will add 00's myself, like Shunkyboy did. Not easy these when you try to think about it rather than just jump in like I did for the 90's. For this one I needed to disqualify some bands for having the cheek to have better 90's songs. (Though Tool get an honourable mention for having nearly the best songs in both those decades.) In the tradition of youz all getting bored with pish speeches, I'll jump to the point. Not my favourite band or album of the noughties, and never danced, moshed nor gret to this, but...
Huddersfield
I was a bit more into classical music & blues/protest/folk than anything contemporary so don't have a lot to draw on, but if we're doing noughties, this was my first thought:

Absolutely. Most of it was not in the charts though.
Big Ramy 1314
80s is my fav. So here. George Micheal. The Cure. Roxy Music. Bronski Beat. Tears For Fears. Thompson Twins. Kate Bush. Just to name a few more. One for the 90s. Bjork. Sade. I could go on, but that would no be nice. 2000 up, I do like Tiesto. Paul Oakanfeild. David Guetta.
