I enjoyed seeing the fishermen get screwed, I will admit it.

I don’t care if they are tories or not, they are self interested wankers who are more interested in lining their pockets through greed and ignorance. They actually thought that they would be looked after, and get exactly what they wanted, it was obvious from day one that it would never happen.

The poor wee lemmings still jump off the cliff thinking that their special relationship will save them.

some of them are, absolutely but that will be a minority. Most don't actually care for politics and they get on with working to provide for their families.

If it weren’t for those fishermen alec salmond would not have been elected and this the snp would not be where they are today, ignorance is bliss eh?

The thing I've never understood about the fishermen is that I would have thought overall, being in the EU as part of Scotland rather than the UK would likely be more beneficial to them than any arrangement.   They'd have all the access to markets for their produce and as far as Scotland would be concerned, fishing is more important to the Scottish economy than the UK economy so you would expect that they would be represented by people who would be more likely to look after their interests.     There's nearly 50 years of history of the UK government not looking out for the interests of the fishing industry, I'm surprised people are so shocked now.

Some fisherman do think this way, they don;t all vote the same way or think exactly the same

I get that but that's not the way it's presented in the media.   I suppose what I mean is that I'm surprised it's not the dominant view.

To be honest Sturgeon has hardened manys stance against the snp, especially the pro brexit mob,  that why i have said all along that she should be less visable on the subject, its tough i know however its votes that count and somtimes to get what you want you have to do things you dont want

That explains why Scottish newscasters, print media barely brought mundells behaviour into question

Where channel 4 news rightly ripped him to shreds over it

But also softened many voters to her. I have heard of many English who live in Scotland who voted No last time who would now vote Yes to remain in the EU. Also remember that a bigger percentage of Scotland voted to remain in the EU so the SnP and Sturgeon are surely appealing to a wider number of people than if she had backed Brexit.

Aye, I know. But I had that Groundskeeper Wullie scene in my mind when he’s on about everything ruining Scotland before finishing it with, “Damn Scots, they ruined Scotland.” 😂

The more I read of the May 'deal' and Thursday's 'political declaration', the more it looks like the worst of both worlds, and less likely it is what people thought they were voting for (though, can we ever know?). Well, when ardent Brexiteers say no deal would be better than a bad deal, you think thats par for the course, but when they say actually it's so bad a deal that it would be worse even than staying in the EU, then you have to take note.

Mike Harding's reply (a popular entertainer in the 70s and 80s)

Dear Mrs May

I am in France having a break having come here on the train all the way from Settle. I just read your letter to me and the rest of Britain wanting us all to unite behind the damp squib you call a deal. Unite? I laughed so much the mouthful of frogs legs I was eating ended up dancing all over the bald head of the bloke on the opposite table.
Your party’s little civil war has divided this country irreparably. The last time this happened Cromwell discontinued the custom of kings wearing their heads on their shoulders
I had a mother who was of Irish descent, an English father who lies in a Dutch graveyard in the village where his Lancaster bomber fell in flames. I had a Polish stepfather who drove a tank for us in WW2 and I have two half Polish sisters and a half Polish brother who is married to a girl from Donegal.
My two uncles of Irish descent fought for Britain in N Africa and in Burma.

So far you have called us Citizens Of Nowhere and Queue Jumpers. You have now taken away our children and grandchildren’s freedom to travel, settle, live and work in mainland Europe.

You have made this country a vicious and much diminished place. You as Home Sec sent a van round telling foreigners to go home. You said “ illegal” but that was bollocks as the legally here people of the Windrush generation soon discovered.

Your party has sold off our railways, water, electricity, gas, telecoms, Royal Mail etc until all we have left is the NHS and that is lined up for the US to have as soon as Hannon and Hunt can arrange it

You have lied to the people of this country. You voted Remain yet changed your tune when the chance to grab the job of PM came. You should have sacked those lying bastards Gove and Bojo but daren’t because you haven’t the actual power.

You have no answer to the British border on the island of Ireland nor do you know how the Gib border with Spain will work once we are out

Mrs May you have helped to divide this country to such an extent that families and friends are now no longer talking to each other, you have managed to negotiate a deal far worse than the one we had and all to keep together a party of millionaires, Eton Bullingdon boys, spivs and WI harridans. Your party conserves nothing. It has sold everything off in the name of the free market.
You could have kept our industries going with investment and development - Germany managed it. But no - The Free Market won so Sunderland, Barnsley, Hamilton etc could all go to the devil

So Mrs May my answer to your plea for unity is firstly that it is ridiculous. 48% of us will never forgive you for Brexit and secondly, of the 52% that voted for it many will not forgive you for not giving them what your lying comrades like Rees Mogg and Fox promised them. There are no unicorns, there is no £350 million extra for the NHS. The economy will tank and there will be less taxes to help out the poor. We have 350,000 homeless (not rough sleepers - homeless) in one of the richest countries on Earth and you are about to increase that number with your damn fool Brexit.

The bald man has wiped the frogs legs of his head, I’ve bought him a glass of wine to say sorry; I’m typing this with one finger on my phone in France and I’m tired now and want to stop before my finger gets too tired to join the other one in a sailors salute to you and your squalid Brexit, your shabby xenophobia and Little Englander
mentality. Two fingers to you and your unity from this proud citizen of nowhere. I and roughly half the country will never forgive you or your party.

Ok, I embellished slightly. 😄 But you did say this......

Fisher folk will moan like fuk no matter what happens. That's mainly because they are a bunch of moanin' faced fukers. Even the ones that were making millions out of the black fish scandal were a bunch of moaning faced fukers. It's a bit like farming and teaching. Those three occupations just seem to attract moaning faced fukers.

My mum has recently retired and both my brother and sister are teachers, they have more than enough reason to moan given the lack of resources they have.

Surprised more of them don't just jack it in, some of the shite they need to put up with in that profession is a national disgrace.

I cant for the life of me understand why sturgeon insists on putting her face to the fore of the anti brexit campaign, does she not realise that the confrence held today(which there has been a few) only goes and hardens brexiters distrust for the snp and independence!! Its insane how she can not see this!! Am i missing something? We have the tories on the ropes just now, let them drive voters away!!!its political stupidity if you ask me

Wouldnt worry about it as the MSM are virtually ignoring it

Secondly Theresa's deal is supposedly uniting Remainers and Brexiteers as it's that pish

Spelling out how much each Tory charade will cost Scotland is no bad thing IMO ...unless these Scottish Brexiteers you talk about are willing to see Scotland pay that price

Thats what i mean though, both remainers and brexiters hate the deal proposed,  just let her make a mess and then go from there.
