I've a funny feeling that Andy Burnham will narrowly win it by a few hundred votes.

Then in twenty years time 50,000 votes for Corbyn mysteriously turn up in a skip in Slough.

Scratch that then.

Although I'm SNP through and through, congrats to Mr Corbyn and his right hand man, John McDonnell, on an incredible victory.

Both Corbyn and McDonnell it should be said have both been very civil and supportive to the 56 since they went down to Westminster unlike bitter s such as Tom Blenkinsop, Ian Austin, Wayne David and Graham Allen who have attacked them on the most petty and childish of points.

George Foulkes after spending weeks attacking Corbyn on twitter has undergone an remarkable overnight conversion to Corbyn's cause.

Just like Dugface. More faces than a town hall clock.

Defence secretary Fallon who's department has been shipping arms or aid to countries like Iraq and Syria for Decades says

"Labour are now a serious risk to our nation’s security, our economy’s security and your family’s security.Whether it’s weakening our defences, raising taxes on jobs and earnings, racking up more debt and welfare or driving up the cost of living by printing money – Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party will hurt working people. This is a very serious moment for our country – the Conservatives will continue to deliver stability, security and opportunity for working people.”"

Irony overload from one of Thatcher's children.

Saves them getting replaced. Clean slate was needed from the New Labour experiment. That's what's happening.

Im kinda concerned that I now like a Labour bastird, this is quite disconcerting.

I don't know which is more pleasing, the absolute disgust and rage from the Blairites or the fact that the vast majority of Labour members have voted for principle over bland, same old, same old, Torylite agendas.

The media onslaught will make for interesting viewing / listening over the next few weeks. The backtracking of staunch views from the start of the leadership contest till now will be the source of much amusement as well!

They're resigning from jobs that aren't theirs for the sole purpose of making a scene. Cabinet disbands in the event of a new leader being elected for them to form their own. Those 'resigning' are of course signalling that they have no intention of allowing themselves to be selected.

Am I wrong here?

They are elected to serve their constituents firstly, but also the party that they stand for. If they refuse to be in the shadow cabinet, they are not fulfilling their obligation to their party, I find that pretty ridiculous. If they dont want to be Labour Cabinet members, maybe they should GTF and be independents.

A broad show of being united today could have really helped Labour IMO.

Probably for the best not to have a guy called Tristram in a socialist cabinet though ? :-))

May well be a couple more resignations tomorrow.

John McDonnell and Diane Abbott look set for big roles in Corbyn's cabinet.
