flynnyboy
The boy is a fantastic player, has everything to succeed in modern game, but this is a poor career choice. Very poor. United were definitely in for him and despite not offering as much in terms of wages, probably, they would have been far better for his next move. I was certain he would've picked the right move but it appears he has chased the quick buck. Shame as he is the best right back I've seen at thistle, by quite a margin, not hard I know. I'm absolutely certain he will play for Scotland regularly, this move will have delayed that. Considerably.
Charlie Endell
League bloody Two - I saw them getting turned over by Morecambe in the Eric Bartholomew derby last year. Edited June 22, 2015 by Charlie Endell
Squirrelhumper
Good luck to him but seems a sh1te move football wise. His missus and her pals kicked out with us in Ibiza last year. Nice group of birds. He seemed to really like kick on this season as well.
GHfaeGTA
There was strong rumours he was coming to Tannadice yet joins team who finished 8th in league two. That's ambition for you!
Hertsscot
Does seem a very strange move indeed. He could have got a move to another Premier Divison club or a higher league in England.

That's ambition for you!I essentially agree with you but playing devil's advocate, why does it lack ambition? What do you know about Luton, their plans and potential etc. Maybe they have really big plans coming to fruition soon, or maybe the boy wants to play down south as he sees it as a quicker stepping stone to the Championship. I'm interested in why we think it's a negative step. Maybe the SPFL is seen as a League of Ireland equivalent in England.

Toepoke
Luton averaged nearly 9,000 at home last year, would've been third highest in the Scottish Premiership... Edited June 22, 2015 by Toepoke
macy37
Folk seem to think our league is a decent league. It is not, it is poor. Calling folk for moving to Sevco is puzzling too.
OLAS
If he continues his improvement like he has over the past two seasons, he'll not be at Luton very long. Disappointed he has gone, but glad it's not to another Premiership club. Wish him all the best at Luton. His goal against United was a thing of beauty... especially him putting Paul Paton flat on his arse.
wanderer
There is clubs in the conference in England that pay higher wages than clubs in Scottish Top flight. Luton have greatly underachieved in the recent years (gone from knocking on the door of the premiership to conference in space of 5 years?), yet took something like 18,000 to Manchester for the confrence play off final against Wimbledon few years back and are able to attract a sponsor of the calaber of Easyjet (sure Scottish League, never mind clubs, would love to attract a name like that to it!) EasyJet's main base is Luton Airport, otherwise I doubt very much they would be sponsoring the Hatters. No denying Luton have the potential to be a Championship club, but they're two levels below that at the moment. Hearts and Aberdeen are considered 'big' clubs in Scotland, but in England they'd be lumped in with lower-end Championship / higher-end League 1 clubs (a pair of Bristol Cities). England very much has critical mass in its favour. Edited June 22, 2015 by Charlie Endell
Lion Rampant
I was surprised he went there, but then again he probably looked at Taylor-Sinclair and thought he was better starting a little lower and trying to build up. The last thing he would want is to go straight to a Championship club and rot away in the reserves.
glasgow jock
Think the last time I had heard of Luton FC was back in 1985 when Milwall fans tried to destroy their (Lutons) ground.
SMcoolJ
I think we lost Markus Heikkinen to Luton, albeit when they were in the Championship.

Ormond
It might be 2nd tier, but I don't think it's 2nd rate. If they weren't second rate players they'd be playing in a first rate league. Therefore it's second rate.

macy37
Ah, another who decries our league. And rightly so. Facts don't lie. We can't compete with salaries and look at where the vast majority of the players who play in our top league come from...... Player quality wise it isn't a great league and many teams in Luton's league would I believe compete with sides in our top league.
