Back on topic.

As a Socialist Mhairi Black is surely absolutely appalled by her parties expedience. Will she speak out? Or will she turn out just to be another hypocrite ala Tommy Sheridan?

Who knows. Like the rest of she might be able to answer you if you took the trouble to actually enlighten us as to your point. It's not a difficult concept. And that's coming from a m0r0n like me.

Welcome back. :-( :-( :-(

I've missed you all :wink2:

Before the usual suspects get all prissy, there is a discussion to be had here, and a huge test for Miss Blacks integrity will come as part of the EU referendum.

The SNP, although not sharing a platform with will be making the same arguments as the Tories and Labour for staying in the EU (it's good for capital), they will be arguing against the left who will be campaigning to leave because... It's only good for capital. There are two likeable politicians in the SNP in Tommy Sheppard and Mhairi Black... But will either speak out against the strictest whip in UK politics?

... Are you just going to follow me around like a little lost puppy now? That won't be good for either of us.

Oh ffs!!!

Am I not allowed to respond to any of your posts now?

So that'll be a no to explaining your point then?

I want to see the pro's and con's to staying in Europe or otherwise, before i decide how i am going to vote. This is not going to be a straight forward decision, i am sure both options have their benefits, not just for corporates, but for the poorest in society.

I don't think the decision will be as black and white as you are painting, Scunnered.

Are there no arguments where it would be acceptable for the SNP to argue the same points as Labour and the Tories? Baby peeling? Puppy smothering? I think we can establish that in itself isn't a crime and doesn't make them sell outs.

On the subject of the EU referendum, is it possible that Miss Black may be capable of wider and deeper thought than you on this topic? Is it possible she might simply not share your view? Is it possible that the act of not agreeing with you doesn't in itself constitute a sell out?

And ultimately when the time comes, if her actions don't mirror your views is it possible you'd be open minded enough to listen to her reasons why?

There's more than two likeable ones.

It quite possibly isn't, but if there exists a socialist case for remaining in the EU I've yet to hear it. All Socialist parties I'm aware of, and all Socialists I know personally are unanimous.

Check you getting all sassy. It's rather cute.

I never said it wasn't acceptable for the SNP to be in agreement with Labour and the Tories... You've made that up. I also never called them sell outs... You've made that up. I also never questioned Miss Blacks capability of thought... You've made that up. I did however express a fondness for Miss Black... You must have missed it amongst your seethe. :)

Miss Black has played the Socialist card on a number of occasions in the past month or so to beat Labour with. In the next year she will find herself in a party who is in opposition with... I won't say all, but the majority of socialists. I would have great respect for Miss Black if she stays true to what I can assume will be her principles... As a socialist, and she'll speak out against the strictest whip in UK politics.

I'm so glad you're finding me attractive again so soon. You're too easy.

The problem is Scunnered, as I indicated earlier you "don't say" quite a lot. The problem is you deliberately do say just enough and no more to make your intentions clear, but little enough to ensure you can get all superior and uppity by pointing out that people are making things up.

The main point here is that whilst at this time (as you'll have no doubt gathered) I don't have all the answers on this topic, I strongly suspect that you don't either.

And whilst you have indeed said you like Mhairi for her stance so far, you are pretty strongly second guessing what she might do in the future.

Just because she played the Socialist card doesn't mean she actually believes all that she says.

Maybe she was just using it as a political stick to beat the Labour party with?

Apparently politicians do this quite a lot, so I'm told.

Dearie me

There was no superiority or uppityness from me at all friend, I was merely pointing out that you pulled a number of points from thin air.

I pointed out that SNP will be arguing a case alongside Labour and the Tories - You assumed that I was having a go or calling them sell outs, I wasn't... I was stating fact, pure and simple.

I'd be rather disappointed if that was the case.

Im assuming RB was being sarcastic

Suggesting at this stage that of all people Mhairi Black is not being honest and in effect its all an act is ludicrous

I gathered that

No one is suggesting that, I'm merely saying that the EU referendum will be a massive test of her integrity. I'm sure you can agree with that?
