Hertsscot
Any updates on Snodgrass is progressing and how long is Hanley out of action for?
ErsatzThistle
The papers were saying it's increasingly unlikely that Hanley will make the match in Dublin. Steven Fletcher is 50/50. Charlie Mulgrew will be available for the two games coming up but whether he'll be fully fit is questionable. Snoddy should be fit for Hull's pre-season and the second half of our qualifiers. Just getting a little worried defensively. Hutton hasn't been starting too regularly for Villa, same with Robertson at Hull, Hanley ruled out etc.

Hutton and Robertson should be alright although they have both cost us goals recently.
bossman4
Hutton has been injured as well.
ErsatzThistle
If Hutton's out, it's Bardsley at right back for me.
girvanTA
Im suprised that Bardsley hasnt been involved in this campaign. Clearly a very good choice to have at right back and very consistant for Stoke this season
Hertsscot
If Hutton's out, it's Bardsley at right back for me. Totally agree with you. I think Strachan has been immense as Scotland boss but I've struggled to understand why Bardsley hasn't been in the squad more often. Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
Completely agree with comments about Bardsley. Strachan seems to make some strange squad decisions at times, its as if he doesn't want to appear like he is bowing to public opinion. LewisEDI
a semi fit lacking match practise hanley fills me with fear, would have berra in for him. i think its probable that strachan just doesnt particularly like bardsley, for whatever reason. ErsatzThistle
Wonder if Liam Cooper might be brought in as back up, perhaps even given a game against Qatar ? He's not the next Willie Miller by any means but surely with the shortage of centre backs we have, we need to look at every option available. wanderer
In Hanley is out, then I think Greer and Martin will start v Ireland, as that seems to be Strachans back up central defense partnership (personally I would go Martin and Berra, but Strachan does seem to have a habit of springing a surprise) Forsyth was alright v Northern Ireland, so might be in Strachans plans if Hutton is out (though I would agree going with Bardsley). aaid
I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't one or two players who have operations at the end of the season. Not that I'm aware of anyone in particular but it always seems to be the case. I wonder when James McCarthy will pick up his injury that will see him miss the game in Dublin. Hertsscot
Lets cross our fingers and hope Berra and Martin get through their play off without injury.
