Fairbairn Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 agreed, very good. quite dark and yes slightly disturbing but a great watch. did they do a second series with different actors? It's in production at the moment. Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch & Vince Vaughn in the lead roles this time. Quote
johnnie x Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 It's in production at the moment. Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch & Vince Vaughn in the lead roles this time. Ooooft, thats a huge drop off in acting talent. Better hope the story is good. Quote
Fugitive Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I only managed 2 episodes of Outlander before I ditched it. Giblet - Sons of Anarchy is worth it apart from Season 3 it's sh1t. Quote
TartanTeddy Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Just re watched Generation Kill, forgot how good it was, and that it was only something like eight episodes! Brilliant writing, funny but quite brutal at times TT Quote
the Sunnylaw Jag Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I'm surprised no one has mentioned the series Justified with Timothy Olyphant who was also in the equally good 'Deadwood'. I also enjoyed the third series of Ripper Street on Amazon Prime which stepped up a gear in writing this time around. Quote
Bristolhibby Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Just re watched Generation Kill, forgot how good it was, and that it was only something like eight episodes! Brilliant writing, funny but quite brutal at times TT This is superb. Everyone I have put on to this has loved it. It's made by the team behind the Wire, so no surprise really as to its quality. sbcmfc Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Anybody been watching "The 100" on E4? A few episodes into the second series, this weeks was probably the 1st slow episode I can remember, but was still good. It's like lost meets Hollyoaks. Quote
hunchy Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Ye the 100 is good just wonder where it is going to go Quote
Donaldo87 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Aye strike back is alright. First two series were pretty good if I remember and the last one was a little silly but still enjoyable enough. Justified is pretty good as well Quote
sbcmfc Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Ye the 100 is good just wonder where it is going to go Aye, never thought about it that way. What's the end game? Hope you've not ruined it for me? Although it could be Clark and Octavia playing snooker and I'd probably still watch it. Quote
Fairbairn Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Started watching the final series of The Newsroom last night. The first episodes are excellent and made me realise I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed the first 2 series. I really do like just about everything Aaron Sorkin has done for TV and it's strange how they never (West Wing aside) seem to get past 2 or 3 seasons at best. Quote

Fairbairn Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip was great Tv. Agreed. Criminal that it only got one season. Sport's Night was excellent as well. Quote
Al1978 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip was great Tv. Does it improve? I bought the boxset and managed two episodes. The writing was really bad. It put me off watching anything else he'd written. Quote
the Sunnylaw Jag Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Has watched TURN or Black Sails on Amazon Prime. Are they any good? Quote
Rossy Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Started watching 'Fortitude' on Thursday. The first episode is aboot 9 hours long and I had to stop halfway through....I'll try and get back to it later today. It's just ####in permanently dark, cannae decide if it's good or no. Quote
