King Of Paisley
Deal apparently now concluded and will be formally announced later this week. Same mob that was sniffing around Motherwell in recent times. Exciting but, at the same time, terrifying times ahead.
northernscum
Deal apparently now concluded and will be formally announced later this week. Same mob that was sniffing around Motherwell in recent times. Exciting but, at the same time, terrifying times ahead. What is the script with the deal, mate? I am always a bit wary when random groups with apparently no connections to Scottish football come calling. What are the motives for this deal? Surely can't be to make a killing! Flora MaDonald
They obviously think St. Mirren's style of play is similar to their national team's.
dandydunn
They obviously think St. Mirren's style of play is similar to their national team's. Or they can use them as a front for smuggling drugs into the country!!!!
King Of Paisley
NS - I believe they will bring over young South Americans with a view to selling them on. Other than that, no idea what their motives are. All will be revealed later in the week. There is no money in the game in Scotland so they ain't over to make a profit in the Fergus McCann mould. King Of Paisley
Could be looking at ones with dual nationality i.e. Spanish passport holders.

PASTA Mick
Or they can use them as a front for smuggling drugs into the country!!!! I'm sure Argentina already has enough of their own drugs.
Kittymeister
I think you'll find that PA13 is the most desirable post code in that area. Can only see this ending badly for the Skunks. Players parachuted in with a view to being sold with all profits remaining with whichever consortium happens to own them.
saintlyscot
According to Chico and other media Gilmour and the board have went to extraordinary lengths to find the right buyer. Seems at odds with this deal. Hope it works out for the Buds but seem fraught with peril.
Charlie Endell
Anelka at Raith Rovers springs to mind. Can't see this ending well.
Mr. Kilt
Think the board have rejected around 20 + bids over the last few years. They want out, but they're St Mirren fans and are adamant they'll only sell when they're certain the buyer is right. Incredibly wary. Doubt it'll end well. But there's nothing we can do. Marky
They obviously think St. Mirren's style of play is similar to their national team's. Nah it was when Danny Lennon was in charge that we were as good as Argentina. We've slipped a bit since then.
