  1. Hopefully they'll have one last concert in London on the 4th of June.
  2. Watched this last night and it reminded how fortunate I am to be going to see them in London in June.
  3. A wee gay guy goes into the Butchers and asks for a mince round. The Butcher says "Certainly Sir" So the wee gay guy pirouettes on his tip toes and says "What a lovely shop you have."
  4. I take 4 x 10mg of amiltiptyline every night so that I can get some sleep despite the pains in my knee. Was on serious Codeine painkillers but came off them as they completely fckd me up. Supposedly amiltiptyline does pain relief, works as a sedative and is an anti- depressant. It certainly has worked for me. Still get migraines though!
  5. I get them every couple of weeks. It's like somebody is trying to push my eyeball out from the inside using a sharpened stick. Mrs Meister got me some migraine specific painkillers and they seemed to have worked. Don't know what they are called but you get pink and yellow tablets. Never been as bad as the OP though thankfully.
  6. Thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes. Seems to capture the mood of the time really well. And closing with a Bowie track was somewhat poignant.
  7. It's sheer misery at the best of times. This will just about tip it over the edge.
  8. San Francisco Kingstown - St Vincent Calgary Edinburgh Belfast

    1872 Cup

Saturday's match had now been moved to Murrayfield.
  10. Hopefully the wind will keep up in Edinburgh so that I don't have to go on the Star Flyer with my daughters. As for naming storms, I blame whoever came up with Hurricane Bawbag for creating a precedent.
  11. Flying out of Manchester on June 10th and the hotel for the 9th is already booked. Too good an opporchancity to pass up.

    1872 Cup

Football kicks off at two o'clock so no double header.

    1872 Cup

What time is kick off? It could be a good day out, The Mighty Jambos beating The Great Unwashed and Edinburgh thrashing the Weegie Warriors.
  14. Be even better if you had actually got the name of the sponsor correct!
  15. Berwick Rangers ground can be seen from the train. Though as that is in England I'm not sure if it counts for this thread. Broadfield can be spotted from Croy Station.
  16. I have the misfortune to commute to work by train. in the last couple of months I have started claiming money back on late trains using the Delay Repay scheme. Received about £30 so far. Better in my pocket than Scotrail's.
  17. No worries. I hope that you are wrong and that you are not second. If Hearts can't win the league, and I doubt that will happen unfortunately, then I hope Aberdeen do.
  18. When I got back home I could hardly speak due to a sore throat from all the singing. Probably the best atmosphere at any away game apart from half time at the Scotland England game at Euro 96.
  19. I've really enjoyed it and I'm glad that I made the effort to go to one game, Scotlsnd -Samoa. The organisation was superb from the moment we stepped off the train until we got back on it. The standard of rugby played had been excellent and I can't remember watching a game that I thought was dull. The Tier 2 Nations have excelled and given the Tier 1 teams a good run for their money. On a slightly different tangent; if England can organise this tournament so well just think what they would do with a football World Cup!
  20. I fly out to the Mexican Pacific Coast on the 10th of June. Two weeks of sun, beer and hopefully little mention of any football tournament taking place in France.
  21. Sitting in The Strawberry have a pre match pint or two.
