AberdeenAngus
Really chuffed with this news. Heard Yogi say yesterday that Shinnie and MacKay should think carefully before heading to England and maybe not playing every week and that how to him playing every week came before money. Looks like Shinnie took that advice on board - cheers Yogi.

Hertsscot
http://www.afc.co.uk/news/5611.php#.VMURbUesWuI What a bounce! Good news for Aberdeen. I must admit I was a bit depressed this week with Celtic snapping up GMS and rumours of Armstrong following in his footsteps but Utd's signing of MacGowan and the Dons capture of Shinnie seem to indicate that there's some ambition in the chasing pack. adamntg
I don't think there's much chance of Armstrong going to Celtic. Would be very disappointed if he ended up there.

deecie
We should offer to not sign Mackay if they let us have Shinnie now.
dandydunn
Summer would be a tribunal would it no? Joined them when he was 17,would that still go to the training etc costs? I'm not sure about the ins and outs of it all tbh.

I heard weeks ago that was a done deal. Well before the Mackay-Steven pre contract. Wasn't told if it was this month or summer - without revealing source it came from the Utd end. AberdeenAngus
Summer would be a tribunal would it no? Nope. Training compensation is due when: a player is registered for the first time as a professional; a professional is transferred between clubs of two different associations (whether during or at the end of his contract) before the end of the season of his 23rd birthday. AberdeenAngus
This season was his 23rd birthday. He's 24 in August. He will transfer after the season ends therefore no fee payable. If they want a fee they need to get one in the next few days.
Cove_Sheep
Deal. How about half a million AND they take Clark Robertson?
AberdeenAngus
How about half a million AND they take Clark Robertson? Think we'd need to offer a lot more £££ than that if Robertson included. Edited January 25, 2015 by AberdeenAngus
deecie
Robertson & £500k seems fair for Shinnie, Mackay & a toaster.
iainmac1
Deal. For an extra million you get Billy Mackay and a loaf of bread.

iainmac1
What if we wish to include Clark Robertson? In all seriousness I've never heard of him before. But I'm guessing he's no use!
Parklife
In all seriousness I've never heard of him before. But I'm guessing he's no use! He's amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. I suggest you phone John Hughes and tell him to sign Robertson at all costs.
