So you think that crisis was worse than this? Bearing in mind we have doubts over Armstrong, Gilmour and one or two others walking the injury tightrope plus Ferguson ruled out too.

Yes.

This is definitely the worst injury crisis we have had going into a major tournament (World Cup or Euros). Unbelievable how many key players we have been deprived of and are carrying knocks.

Debatable, not definite.

As well as the three defenders we lost in 78, losing Dalglish in 86 was arguably as bad. Yes, just the one player, yes, he was aging and yes he put in better performances for his club. But he was our stand-out player (something we don't currently have) and was irreplaceable.

Any idea if bad? Saw he came on as a sub then got subbed himself.

You couldnt make this up.

Put it this way. He looked raging, as if he knew it was a bad one.

Fingers, toes, eyes crossed that it’s not. What the hell is going on?!

Sorry but Tierney is a key player for us. Hickey is irreplaceable and could be out. Patterson our No 2 right-wing back is out. Ferguson is out and could have been an important player for us. Armstrong is an important squad member and may miss out. Hanley is our most experienced centre-back and may miss out. Gilmour, McGregor and McTominay are all fighting to be fit and one of them might not make it. We could be without as many as six players who were certain to be in our squad and that is before you even mention the likes of Jack, Brown and Nisbet.

Scraping about for some good news: DeZerbi said today that Gilmour is available for tomorrow against Bournemouth. Could be interesting to see him vs Christie as long as they don’t conspire to injure each other…

Thats good.

Further good news scraping- Hanley on bench for Norwich - first time in ages - and Nisbet came off bench.

Anyone else constantly get the fear from this thread?

I think we all are 😪 I planned being in Germany over 2 weeks but if things get any worse I'm looking to take a mid group stage home break.  I'm not feeling confident at all about our chances currently.

every time there is an update... 😞

Looking forward with hands covering eyes...,

McGinn has CL qualification and a possible European final

Adams, Armstrong and Fraser have playoffs

Gunn, McLean and Hanley (if fit) have play offs

McGregor and Souttar has SPL to play for

Christie, Gilmour, Robertson, Dykes, Porteaus competitive season just about over

Hendry still playing glorified friendlies so should be ok.

Do you think we can put out 11 players on 14 June?

McTominay’s face gave the impression that it looked a bad one.

So hope it’s not a serious one but the way our luck has been, I’m really struggling to find any good positives on the injury front to make me change my mind 😢

Feel the same. Be so disappointing if after a brilliant qualifying campaign we cannot have a proper crack at this tournament due to a spate of injuries to key men.

This one to McTominay has properly deflated it for me. He was absolutely massive for us during qualifying. Especially when we don’t have an out and out goalscoring striker & rely heavily on our midfielders to chip in with goals, then you know you can rely on the likes of McTominay, McGinn to step up and produce a moment of brilliance out of nowhere.
I don’t know if it was a contact injury or if he hyper extended his knee but his recation is a worry as he’s seen here signalling towards the bench to be subbed before the physio does, banging the turf in anger and even struggling to get himself down towards the tunnel. Again just hope it ain’t a really bad one but hard to see any positives from our injury situation just now.

My only hope is that McTominay ended up rolling around holding leg recently v Chelsea and looked like he had done some serious damage, yet he was only out for a couple of weeks. Hoping may be the same scenario.

The possible good news with McTominay is that he gets up and starts hobbiling. Normally with a bad knee injury its a stretcher or the player doesnt even want to stand up without assistance.

Personally I think McTominay is our most important midfielder.

He was but since he’s came back, he picked up a knock against Coventry which seen him get subbed off. Was rated doubtful for the Sheffield Utd game in midweek and managed just under 30 mins. ETH even said in his post match presser that he’s still been not quite 100% and been carrying a slight injury. My main worry from the clip in my recent post seems to suggest by Scott’s reaction that he’s aggravated it. Again I hope I’m seriously wrong with this & I guess we have to wait and see the full extent of it but I’m not holding my breath as our recent luck with injuries have been one of the worst at a terrible time.

That’s very true although when he walks past the goals, he stops hobbling and seems to be in a lot of discomfort until the two physios come over to check on him. Again just hoping for some positivity on the injury front for once & it ain’t nothing that bad other than just a small knock that will rule him out until the FA Cup final or Gibraltar friendly.

Not Scotland but injury related for an opponent - Shaqiri of Switzerland was subbed in last game for Chicago Fire and expected to be out for few weeks. Not the player he was but seems to still be a starter for Swiss.

He's always capable of being ridiculously good and scoring a belter.

Knee injury apparently...can't get a break

You wouldn't want to break your knee 😂 I did it and it's never going to be right again. My illustrious 5 a side career over at 35
