That whole episode is pretty cringeful. If I remember right, it's all women who have 'made it' and they all give a dreadful self congratulaTory speech about their success...then prove themselves to be dim bullshitters. Torture.

In the interview she claims not to have personally profited then tells us the money went into her husband’s trust fund which her and her children are the beneficiaries, some defence

Mone and Barrowman are the tip of the iceberg regarding PPE scandal. And it’s a big iceberg.

Labour are promising to root out the the scandalous beneficiaries . Let’s see what happens.

Except for the ones that donate money to the Labour party, probably.

Escalation in the middle east.

Operation prosperity guardian? Seriously do the yanks believe they are living in a Disney movie?

Another excuse to bump up prices and make even bigger profits.

I hope she gets what's coming to but I really hope she takes some of the current tory elite with her

Sounds like she's trying her best to do just that!

Of course, they - the Tory elite - are either trying their best to distance themselves from her and her man or just outright drop them in it, and that gets us to the most pathetic thing about that pair: they genuinely thought they were now part of the establishment; that they'd "made it"; but in the eyes of the elite they'll always just be a pair of spiv jocks on the make.

So as a result, they've been thrown to the wolves in the hope that the great unwashed will have grown tired of stories about dodgy business people making ludicrous amounts of dough out of the pandemic, before any scandals concerning people the elite really care about emerge.

This Lord Bethell messages thing is fucking wild and the fallout should be huge - If it wasn't the British Establishment we were dealing with

He has perjured himself in public with no plausible way out

It's not worth it's own thread but Mary earps won SPOTY. It's time to put this to the scrap heap like question of sport.

The fact that this hasn't got a thread of its own says a lot about the lack of interest. The fact that Josh Kerr won a blue ribbon event at the World Champs. but didn't even make the short list was an absolute disgrace. Just confirms that the BBC Sports department has its favourites.

There are plenty of opinion pieces around now on the affair with wonderment as to why Cameron put her in the House of Lords in the first place. Are they really that clueless or deliberately not mentioning her Independence ref 'contribution'?

The phrase "embarrassment to Scotland" is oft used but she fucking is big time

A hundred times worse than Ruth the Mooth to put it in perspective

Neither of them are an embarrassment to Scotland - they themselves would insist that they are an embarrassment to Britain.

I saw that. It was always a stupid policy aimed at placating the Tory right. In many parts of the UK and many sectors of the economy £38,700 is an above average wage. It was always stupid and was gesture politics because I think the actual numbers affected were relatively small. It will be interesting how the UKIP wing of the Conservatives react.

The arrogance of these despicable cunts is incredible. They think they are untouchable. I wonder what his wife thinks about these "jokes"?

Surprise surprise. No mass media outcry. Imagine if this was a senior SNP politician making these comments. Would be the usual Unionist pile on calling for sackings etc.

Cleverly is just a nasty despicable cunt. Like all Tories
