Bit soft, he just seemed to say GTF. Is that worth a red these days?

Rather not put yourself in the position to find out. Waste of energy - concentrate on your own game.

Anyway, hopefully he (and the others in the team) will learn.

We looked a lot better after the break. Not sure what that means if we win the next match, but no reason why they can’t do it.

edit - looks like we’re out. Red card one of the things that cost us.

I think I am right in saying we are level on points with the Czechs. If we both win our last matches (both against Greece) then we go through as group winners as we have the better head-to0head record against the Czechs.

That's how I read it too - the other thing is we'll probably need to beat Greece regardless as Croatia will likely beat Lithuania so takes them to 20 points.  Greece could still qualify too if they beat us and Czechs so its absolutely wide open!

Greece play the Czechs tomorrow. I'd say best result for us in that game would be a draw. That would eliminate the Greeks before they play us and keeps Czechs close to us.

I'm not sure why you think we're out? Top of the group by virtue of a better head to head against the Czechs, so beat Greece next week and we win the group.

Game of two halves cliche.

We started OK but a bit sluggish, Croatia scored two cracking goals especially their second.

Delighted we got back in to the game and Middleton, Harvie, looked great on the left side. Hornby probably  with a bit of rust, did well though and held the ball up well and created a few wee chances, but looked a wee bity off the boil. MacLennan was excellent when he came on and a fantastic finish.

Johnston looked good although, one or two moments where he had the ball too long at his feet maybe ; but overall looks a decent talent and hopefully he can get some game time.

We were well on top and looking like winning until that red card. Very harsh, but the ref was horrendously bad. We should have had a penalty, missed their offside a few times, gave the wrong team the shy or goal kick and helped us a bit when Maguire or Middleton got stuck with the ball about 30 yards out.

Still, 2-2 as you were. A draw in Greece or a Greek win tomorrow would be good. A tough job, but there's enough belief in the side, especially coming back fae 2-0 down to get a draw tonight, that there's no reason why we cannot go in to Tuesday and get a result.

At the end of the day we will need a win in Greece. Croatia's last match is against Lithuania so you'd expect them to win that. That would put them two points clear of us so we need three points against Greece. We don't want Greece to win against the Czechs tomorrow as that would fire them right into contention to qualify. A draw would be best result as it eliminates Greece leaving them nothing to play for against us and keeps Czechs close to us.

Beat Greece and we qualify. End of. We will have 21 points. If Czech beats Greece they will have 21 points but we win the head to head. Croatia can only get 20 points. Greece will already be out but could be a winner takes all if they beat the Czechs. Tense stuff and great build up to later.

Greeks will be out anyway if Croatia beat Lithuania.

So three points in Greece and we are through.

Think we want a draw in the Greece V Czech match. Still need to win in Greece but in knocks them out. In fact a Czech win is immaterial as if we beat Greece and we win on the head to head.

So anything but a Greek win.

What a double that would be.
