Was Caddis not called up by Strachan for the Serbia game? Remember Strachan raving about him at one of his first Q&A sessions.

Broadfoot is 30. I wouldn't really class him as youngish.

Caddis has worked with WGS.

Russell and Maguire seem unlikely because they have quite a lot of good players ahead of them in their positions.

Palmer seems to have been playing right-back, which would surely rule him out too.

Broadfoot isn't young anymore.

Jamie Ness is playing for a team at the bottom of League 1, so highly unlikely.

That just leaves Tom Cairney, or a St Mirren player, or a complete unknown.

Guessing this call up isn't happening anymore then...

Aye most likely. The mystery player probably got injured knowing our luck !

Shame, would love to see Tom Cairney get some well deserved international recognition.

Liam Cooper at Leeds might be one Strachan is watching ? We are desperate for central defenders. Just a thought.

I think we can cross Murray Wallace off the list. Huddersfield's form seems to have improved with him being dropped to the bench :-))

I think the mystery player didn't play. Ryan Fraser most likely, although Palmer is a possible.

Russell, Fraser, Cairney are the only likely candidates for me. Maguire's not in as good form as he was last season, so i think he's unlikely and russell plays a similar role and is better. palmer's been mostly used at right back, but i don't think he's really ready yet. another year or two and maybe. broadfoots too old and as has been said strachan already knows caddis.

it was probably fraser, but as he didn't get game time on tuesday he's probably not going to be called barring a lot of withdrawls.

Wait until after this weekend. We're bound to lose a player or 3 to injuries.

Dorrans will be one of them.

Yeah good point! Forgot there was a full round of games to come. Id expect to lose 3/4 - one of them Dorrans, one of them to be whichever goalie will be 3rd choice and a couple of others too

Hull Daily Mail reporting that McGregor has a shoulder injury and will probably miss Hull's weekend game. So that looks like one already.
