I make Hibs favourites...just...based on that.

Not picking a fight here... but our previous discussion popped in to my head when i saw the below stats:

Hibs in Championship

30 games.
59 points.
46 goals for
20 against

Aberdeen in Premiership

29 games
58 points
53 goals for
24 against

I know, I know.

I'm basing my opinion simply on how utterly guff we are in games at Hampden. The last time we really turned up was probably the last semi against Hibs in 2000.

Mentally, we just don't seem to be able to cope with the occassions....no matter which players pull on a red shirt.

Given that, plus the fact that Hibs are cup holders, are a good cup team, and are probably the 4th best side in the country just now regardless of which league they're in, leads me to the conclusion that they should be judged as favourites.

But mostly because we're shitebags in semi-finals at Hampden.

Hibs tweeted that they've sold over 9k for the semi after the opening weekend of sales.

AFC at 10,500 apparently. I'd reckon we'll get somewhere about 16,000.

The lunchtime kick off won't have helped but i'd still have hoped for more.

You'd think that Hibs would sell similar, at least, so a crowd of over 30k would be pretty decent given the circumstances.

I'm expecting Hibs to sell over 20k, based on the bravado of their supporters on twitter.

Is that 4th behind Celtic, St. Mirren and Aberdeen?

Celtic>Aberdeen>St Johnstone>Hibs.

I'm sure that's what he meant....

I muast admit that my perceptions of Hibs were based on their good cup form and the fact that Lennon was going on last week about them being so far ahead in the league it was pretty much already won.

It was only then I had deeper look at current form to see that Hibs have only actually won 2 of their last 8 games in what, with all respect, is a pretty piss poor league.

However regardless of that, the fact stands that they are a good team at raising their game in cup competitions, and the fact also stands that we generally hopelessly under-perform in games at Hampden.

I still believe that Hibs can be called favourites based on these facts.

When did Hampden start selling restricted view tickets, and where are they exactly?

Noticed that they have these for the semi final

Think they are up the back behind the goals - the score boards restrict your view a bit.

Ah that would make sense actually.

Also had RV for the North, which I assume would be the first rows.

No, RV as in restricted view :D

 sorry.  I didn't realise there was RV in the North Stand.

Me neither until I saw them on the Celtic website yesterday, with a £3 reduction. I can only assume it is the first few rows and the restriction is caused by police and stewards standing up.
