phart
Boak inducing transcript. 'Well, I think this does one thing - it draws a line under what, before the war, had been a period of... well, a faint air of pointlessness, almost, was hanging over Downing Street. There were all these slightly tawdry arguments and scandals. That is now history. Mr Blair is well aware that all his critics out there in the party and beyond aren't going to thank him - because they're only human - for being right when they've been wrong. And he knows that there might be trouble ahead, as I said. But I think this is very, very important for him. It gives him a new freedom and a new self-confidence. He confronted many critics.'I don't think anybody after this is going to be able to say of Tony Blair that he's somebody who is driven by the drift of public opinion, or focus groups, or opinion polls. He took all of those on. He said that they would be able to take Baghdad without a bloodbath, and that in the end the Iraqis would be celebrating. And on both of those points he has been proved conclusively right. And it would be entirely ungracious, even for his critics, not to acknowledge that tonight he stands as a larger man and a stronger prime minister as a result.' thplinth
A simpering BBC toady whank of the highest order. Up there with Nick Robinson and Jackie Bird as the most vile and loathsome khunts in the media. Little ba$tards like him are only in a job due to their slavish adherence to whatever hideous BBC bollocks is being pushed at anyone time. I would like to see rats like this on trial along side the scumbags they enable. The clip above on his war criminal hero Tony Blair tell you all you need to know about this thing masquerading as a journalist. After watching match of the day on a sunday morning I occasionally allow the opening credits of his 'show' to run where he rides his scooter into work (aye right on sure you do you two faced #####) in the vain hope he gets obliterated under the wheels of an artic. A smarmy rat.

Armchair Bob
Probably more dangerous than him though Aye, Cochrane is pretty transparent. Marr on the other hand is here to sell the establishment line to us against our better interests, and is quite successful and respected in doing so. I wonder now how smooth and seamless Marr's championing of Blair will switch to championing Cameron.

When I read the opening post on this thread today, I did think of your previous elegant post. The BBC, and media in general, is full of absolute cnts and cretins who would not be missed one bit. DaveyDenoon
Loathsome individual and a shite journalist. I hope his health doesn't deteriorate further and he recovers as fully as is possible from his stroke though. Early retirement on Ill health grounds never to be heard from in the public domain again whilst not suffering further poor health in the years to come would be the ideal scenario. sbcmfc
You better be careful, i got one of my warning points for writing 'I hope his next stroke kills him.' That is a bit extreme, and probably not very good for the reputation of the board (in terms of sponsored ads etc.) Think you deserved a warning for that. sbcmfc
I'm always getting telt for taking it too far. Folk need to develop a thicker skin. Me too, if I know my audience. I like close to the bone humour, but that wasn't funny. Didn't offend me, was just passing comment. I do get in bother for taking the piss out of people I've just met as though I've known them for years, some folk don't get it.
