Parklife
Any renewal figures from the SFA? I wouldn't be surprised to see membership drop below 15,
Stewart_Aberdeen
If I hadn't already booked for Malta then I might have thought twice about renewing. On 10 points just now but that'll be dropping by at least 2 with the away friendlies announced so far. Already booked for Wembley but giving Slovakia a miss. Won't look at 2017 away games until I see where we are in November.
hannibal smith
Any renewal figures from the SFA? I wouldn't be surprised to see membership drop below 15,000 Can't see it dropping from 35k to 15k Reckon it will be just over the 20k mark
Langtonian
That's the 'early bird' offer *cough* expired - thankfully managed to hold firm and no chance I'll pay the full whack - was sort of tempted to keep my membership going for the sake of it but enough is enough. and another 20 +years member on 8 points but my times up
Charlie Endell
Can't see it dropping from 35k to 15k Reckon it will be just over the 20k mark Extending the 'early bird' offer had a wee hint of desperation about it.
Bertie Big Bobble
and another 20 +years member on 8 points but my times up I see I'm not alone. I'm 8 points as well and completely forgot about renewals until today and not going bother. My main issue is, someone on here has said there are 35k members, paying on average £40 a pop equals £1.4million. Where does this money go? Should be £10 for kids and £25 for adults which is reasonable and they still have enough in the slush fund for their overseas jollies
Parklife
Extending the 'early bird' offer had a wee hint of desperation about it.Yup. Apparently there's been less than 10k renewals at that point.
Charlie Endell
Aye, membership fees should only cover the cost of running the SSC - making a huge profit out of it is exploiting members' loyalty to the national team and a very poor show. Looks like this time they may be getting hit in the only place it hurts - fvck 'em.
Charlie Endell
Yup. Apparently there's been less than 10k renewals at that point.Interesting - didn't think it would be as low as that!
Haggis McBasher
Yup. Apparently there's been less than 10k renewals at that point. Did/are you renewing?
Parklife
Did/are you renewing?Nah. Our of my group of 5 that go, only 2 are renewing. If we hadn't drawn England it'd be 0.
Charlie Endell
Zero out of the four of us that have always got tickets together.
PASTA Mick
A combination of the new crap fixtures dates, our continued underachiving and price increase was always going to turn fans away. The SFA got away with it last time because it was an exciting group with a realistic chance of qualifying. The finals being in France meant plenty would make it had we qualified. The England game is the only home game which will be a struggle to get tickets for in the next campaign, so no point joining if you don't go away. Finals in Russia, Qatar and all of Europe coming up mean fans won't be going in big numbers even if we do somehow make it. A tough draw with little glamour in the next campaign could see numbers plummet even more.
tartanmartin
16,000 renewals at last Tuesday apparently.definitely looking like a huge drop in membership even if they were to get 20,000.
BMan
Sad times to see the membership falling so drastically but can't blame people in the slightest. 5 years ago there was 12 of us members of the Travel Club and now only 3 have renewed. they've_been_suckered
I've made a stand but a good few of my pals are renewing. They see it worth the money for north stand decent seats and the England game. Each to their own, I think it's daft.
braveheart_lynch
I would be surprised is there is a public sale for the England game even if membership is only 20,000.
deecie
I would be surprised is there is a public sale for the England game even if membership is only 20,000. Bring back 2 tickets each, like it was under Kaiser Berti.

Orraloon
I would be surprised is there is a public sale for the England game even if membership is only 20,000. Me too. they will probably offer any spare tickets to SSC members as a "reward" for renewing. They will also be keen to try to stop Scotland end tickets getting into English hands. They weren't bothered about that for the Ireland game but this is a different story.
braveheart_lynch
I think there's a chance members will be offered two tickets like season ticket holders were last campaign.

Dalgety Bay TA
Why? Ireland and Poland games show that fans who are willing to travel in large numbers will find their way into the home end. There was plenty of tense situations at both those games, England game would be on another level again. I think the SFA will do what they can to avoid that situation arising, especially after Poland game, and the easiest way to control that risk is to have a "closed" sale to members only. Dalgety Bay TA
I have renewed, did so a while ago when it opened up but won't be taking up the season ticket offer as I won't make all home games. The only real reason I am renewing is travelling to Metz, Wembley, Slovenia, probably Lithuania and possible Slovakia. If I wasn't going to away games I probably wouldn't have renewed. Most of my mates who can have renewed.
