fraz65
Bollocks, our rivals have all won in Georgia, if we have any ambitions of ever qualifying we have to stop thinking that winning over their is impossible. We're not as good as Germany and Poland though, certainly not in terms of the quality of our players. Ireland managed to scrape a win in Georgia when they were struggling under their old manager. AlfieMoon
Am speechless after that. Hideous absolutely hideous from start to finish. Are we affectively in a false position? That's what it feels like Probably. I watched Wales last night and thought likewise. They look so ordinary but are top of the group. It can only go so far. They've scored 9 goals in 7 games to top the group. On reflection - you'd said that we probably performed above ourselves against Poland to get a point. Struggled against Georgia at home. Took care of Gibraltar as expected and got a win at home and point away to a poor Ireland side. We've done nothing wonderful.

Neither have Poland - apart from taking care of the second bottom seeds away from home (Georgia) quite comfortably. Other than that they beat Germany at home......but they were absolutely battered and it was just one of those games for the Germans. In comparison, all Scotland have done that is any worse is lose away to Georgia on a stiflingly hot evening and let themselves down in one game. TAM1
Am I right in saying they've only won about 4 home games in 30? If so, keep the team there and we'll get 11 others to start on Monday Buggered up my big plans for next summer

Mitre
England away will be my swan song. 30+ away games but there's more to life. I hear ye I'm lucky enough to have seen Scotland in major finals, both Euro & World Cup There are vast numbers of Scotland fans under the age of 35 that have not had this experience I find this so sad for the national sport of a country Depressing indeed

I don't like the new normal, I much preferred the old childhood version.

In fairness.... saying that 'neither have Poland' doesn't really add up when you then follow it by saying that they comfortably beat Georgia away (0-4) in the type of games that qualifying teams simply need to win - and beat the World Champions. I was thinking about this earlier and agree.Looking at what we've got thus far this is the only result were I would have been disappointed beforehand, draw away in Poland, loss away to the World Champs, four points from the Irish, I would have been happy with that. It was always going to be a tight group and this was our slip up. What concerns me is the level of performance seems to be going downhill after such a positive start under Strachan. Auld_Reekie
We're just embarrassing. A nation with serious psychological problems. Chip on our shoulder, struggling to make our way in the world, more so compared with any newer, developing nations in the sport. We look down at the likes of Georgia when in reality they're passing us by in terms of confidence, technique and stature. The world is passing us by and all we can do is be angry and bitter about it. Depressing. Not that anyone will care, but I'd actually like to watch highlights tonight as I missed game, and lo and behold, we can't even seem to show any highlights of our national team, playing the national sport. What the f*** is wrong with us?! If Scotland was a human being, we'd be in counselling. Surely other countries aren't like this?

Aye i think tonight was our only BAD competitive performance under Strachan . its not over yet ... 3 points v GIB + , 3 V Poland.. 1 ? mibee at home to Germany... we will be fine... Third Minimum. Ally Bongo
Scotland must truly be the laughing stock of the world. Wee bit of an overreaction there I think. No it's not an overreaction We, as in the supporters, are the laughing stock Any other club or country with our record would by now have hardly any support and the people would have chosen something else as their national game But no - we continue to be the most loyal international fans in world football with fuk all to show for it apart from being the most ripped off following the most insipid, unambitious rulers of the game We give everything but all we get back is egg on our faces year after year A totally futile waste of energy and emotion Nothing will ever change How Regan must have laughed when we drew England and all those mugs that were there at Hampden cheered and roared like imbeciles
