Lamia
I am utterly crapping it about the GE results. I just cannot face another 19th Sept feeling. Although nothing will ever match that feeling, if the results in this election are way off what the opinion polls suggest I just can't face the thought of what things will be like. I have a similar feeling of holding my breath as I did on the 17th Sept and am utterly dreading the wait for the results! I know quite a few of the candidates too and that makes this election so different to any other I have lived through. I just want things to go well for all the people I know who have worked so hard. fringo
I think that whatever the extent the of the number of SNP seats, it will still be a huge swing compared to anything ever see in any GE in history.

perthTam
Won't be comfortable until I start seeing a few actual results on Friday morning. Hopefully get quietly mellow with a wee drink or two as the morning progresses

redstevie007
Nervous because I don't think I could take another unionist gloatfest like we had in the aftermath of the referendum. That said the optimism for this one is different from the hubris many of us (me included) indulged in in the run up to 18th September. The same Tory/Labour lies won't catch us out a second time I'm sure.
Mindimoo
This is different though as there is no definite result. You need to weigh up how many seats in Scotland is a 'victory' tied in with what rUK vote. So many different combinations. I'd buy enough Imodium to last until Monday! johnnie x
Compared to the referendum this is a pre season friendly... Agree. Didn't sleep well for days prior to the referendum, felt sick after for a few days. Any more than 50% of the seats is a huge success. Lamia
I am actually crapping it about how many seats the utterly spineless excuse for a party the Lib Dems get!
EddardStark
Concerned that we will get a very unstable period of government. Likely to be a minority Labour Govt that will be unable to push through legislation without a weekly vote of confidence.

Likely to be a minority Labour Govt that will be unable to push through legislation without a weekly vote of confidence. I am really looking forward to the possibility of a minority government not propped up by some lapdogs and then maybe we can finally learn to do some grown up politics where people work together instead of this pathetic adversary politics we do so well! TartanJon
at the end of the day we're going to get some shitehawk Westminster government ruling us no matter how many seats the SNP get.Personally i'd like to see them get nearly 50 seats just for the shits and giggles not because I'm a Nat. albathebrave
ive said before 27 seats for snp is my prediction, which i think would be excellent, but i hope for more. Edited May 6, 2015 by albathebrave

FIne under a PR system, rubbish in first past the post. Stable and long term coalition politics work better. NZ is a decent example. They have had a minority govt for decades. exile
What is your baseline expectation of seats percentage-wise? Consider 30 seats for SNP as a baseline. If you think that's good, you may be a 'glass half full' nationalist, or a 'glass half empty' unionist. If you think it's bad, you may be a 'glass half empty' nationalist, or a 'glass half full' unionist. Baseline expectation for SNP should really start at 6. Ally Bongo
ive said before 27 seats for snp is my prediction, which i think would be excellent, but i hope for more. 27 seats for the SNP would mean a severe collapse of SNP votes and every polling firm would be made to look foolish Im not expecting to win them all or even 50, although i obviously am hoping If the polls are correct, and no reason to suspect they are not as they have been static for 3 months, then it should be over 40 minimum
