Robroysboy
Fairplay to Ross County, beat motherwell and then beat Partick thistle. Six out of six points and deserve to be off the bottom of the league. As for Motherwell if one draw their only point in 7 games is a concern. First division beckons. Robroysboy
Reckon we could take Motherwell in the play-offs. I reckon aswell. But we are on course to finish in the trap door position on current form. But can you beat hibs in the play-off ?

Donaldo87
We wouldn't beat Hibs or Rangers. I'd almost rather finish 12th instead of the inevitable heartache of a playoff defeat. 3 home games in a row and we should have been looking for 7 points. We'll be lucky to get 1 at this rate. ErsatzThistle
How would relegation effect Motherwell's finances ?
Donaldo87
I think we'd be ok....just. Would obviously need to cut the playing budgets accordingly and expect a dip in attendances but then again if you start winning when you drop down attendances do sometimes go up. I'd be really worried if the takeover hadn't gone through
Parklife
Out of the teams at the bottom Motherwell would definitely be my preference to go down. It's a shame McCall shat it, ran away and attempted to save his own reputation. Watching him and Lasley steering and captaining the sinking ship would've been a laugh. From the outside it looks like Baraclough doesn't have a clue. Motherwell fans wouldn't have been enthused by the appointment of Jimmy C but I reckon he'd have ensured they were playing Premiership football next season. Cove_Sheep
Motherwell bottom of SPFL? Did they get demoted a few divisions mid-season then?

deecie
I take it you're self-employed these days then? I'd be happy to see Motherwell go down. It's a fitting punishment for robbing the Dons of 2nd place last season.
Toepoke
Motherwell going down would move Killie up to third in the list of longest surviving top flight clubs. So bring it on

adamntg
Never before relegated Aberdeen FC sent United down in the late 90s. Never before relegated, but they did finish bottom in 2000 with less points than United had when they were relegated. It was actually Celtic that sent United down. I know, I was there. Och Aye
If I was the new owner I'd sack the manager now. The Dundee keeper didn't have to make a save in a must win game. In recent history Motherwell's policy of appointing experienced guys like McCall, McGhee, Brown proved successful so it's puzzling why they didn't stick with this strategy. This appointment seems to have been the cheap option. Sacking someone after 8 games may seem rash but it's clear this guy ain't the man for the job.
