Had Murray to win and under 33 games at 11/10.  Not sure about backing him any further though.

Next up he will play either Nishikori or Verdasco. Both of those have given Murray trouble in the past so it will be a tough match whoever he plays but I am more hopeful now than I was a week ago.

Murray will beat either of them (i suspect it'll be Verdasco).

Great stuff. Dedication :ok:

Got to say, Wimbledon is a far more pleasant experience when just on ground passes. It's busy but RG is on another level.

Do Ground Passes just basically mean you can wander between all except the show courts?

Nishikori steam-rollering Verdasco in the fourth set and leads 4-0 and looks certain to face Murray in the QF's.

What a prediction from me

Yeah. All except Chatrier, Lenglen and Court 1.

However, queues on courts 2 and 3 can be massive (we waited 2 hours for Court 2 on Thursday (although that was to see the ever popular Del Potrro...) before abandoning it and going to Court 6, which we got on right away).

On Saturday morning we had Court 1 tickets but actually went to Court 2 to see Edmund and conclusion of Wozniacki's match. We were there for 10am and walked right on and waited for the match to start at 11 (we actually watched Khachanov practice from 10-10:30 on Court 2). Only thing is, if you need to leave the court to go to the toilet or whatever, you lose your seat and will have to join the queue.

If you're buying ground passes, get there early, secure your spot and minimise your liquid consumption to avoid having to leave the court. Pointless piece of info... We actually arrived on Chatrier on the Friday at about 10:40am and didn't leave the court for the toilet or anything until after 8pm, when we went to court 2 to see Wozniacki. The amount you sweat in the heat certainly reduces your need to pee significantly!

Djokovic will drop out of the world's top two for the first time since July 2011

Could go behind both Djokovic and Wawrinka (Wawrinka would need to get to the final, Nadal has already done enough to get ahead of him).

Scotsman showing its high journalistic standards again today. Article about Murray never moving to a tax haven to avoid paying taxes on his income and saying half the world top 20 live in one. 7 in Monte Carlo, 1 in Dubai, 2 in Switzerland. That'd be Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka then. Who're both Swiss.

To me it has been all like a snowball effect for Novak since last year's French Open.

He always said how important it was for him to win the French Open and last year, after coming close so many times, he finally did it to complete the calendar slam. He has openlt admitted that a few dayys after that win when the euphoria had died down he found himself asking 'Now what?'. His get up and go was less so and practising and training became more of a chore and it knocked on into his on-court demeanour and performance. He began to lose matches he'd use to win with comfort, confidence dipped and the invincibility aura slipped away. He has never really returned to that vewry best form since and mentally he is nowhere near the rock he once was.

Aye that all makes sense

In Rome Djokovic lost one game against Thiem.Looked as though he stopped trying today.Thiem was excellent.

Where Djokovic is mentally and confidence-wise it was key he won that first set. Once that slipped away it just saps at the already low levels of self-belief.
