no chance he will play a left back and midfielder at centre half, especially as an untrusted pair.... will be martin and Hanley or berra....  but yes, I see where you are coming from.  more chance of Darren fletchwer being played as a sweeper in beside them

What's my life coming to when I sit and think of potential formations and line-ups for Scotland??

I would like to see the following in a 3-2-4-1 formation:

Gordon

Martin Berra Kingsley

Brown Fletcher (or Bannan)

Forrest McArthur Snodgrass Anya

Burke

Reasons being:

No problems with Marshall, just prefer Gordon on this occasion.

More confident with the idea of a back central three. I feel all would be comfortable in the positions. Hanley is a liability due to a lack of playing time amongst other things.

Brown and Fletcher as the protectors, although could swap Fletcher with Bannan / Morrison if required.

Forrest and Anya due to their pace, although, if available, would have put Robertson on the left with Anya on the right. McArthur and Snodgrass have form and can grab a goal from midfield. Ritchie could come on in the 2nd half.

Burke up top due to pace, power and raw talent (what a stage to shine on!) with Griffiths or Naismith to come on during the 2nd half. Not convinced by Martin, whilst Fletcher is not 100% fit.

I appreciate this won't happen, but I can hope...

Might of been mentioned, but mcGhee was interviewed yesterday pretty much saying there is no chance Griffiths is starting

First to slag Morrison over the years but he needs to play for me. Puts his foot on the ball and he's composed. Far better in the bank of 2 than behind the striker though. I think McArthur panics under pressure and Fletcher will struggle.

No no no no no... Anya is not playing RB. That is not happening. Now who is playing RB please?

I think it's true. Even BBC football report mentioned it.

I know he sometimes played LB for Watford but that seemed strange to me too. This is even weirder.
