  1. Papers have us trying to turn another 2 Englishmen. Harvey Barnes and Che Adams.
  2. Think McArthur could be sacrificed for a more attacking midfielder. This could be the game to boost Snodgrass' confidence.
  3. Gordon Tierney, Mulgrew, Robertson Brown, Armstrong Griffiths Are all certain starters I think. I'd add R. Martin, McArthur, Snodgrass, Fraser
  4. Brown and Armstrong cover that much ground could get away with it against the likes of Slovenia and Slovakia
  5. Crowd was decent tonight except for the Martin nonsense and a few in the north (d2) who haven't seen a game before. Noticed in the last few games a lot getting on the teams back in the first 15.
  6. Do you mean inverted wingers? Bale, Ronaldo, Robben, Neymar, Messi, Ribery, Hazard are all of that nature. I don't see the issue if the team is set out properly. Unfortunately it isn't.
  7. Adam would have been in my squad originally. When you have the likes of Brown, Fletcher and McArthur in your bank of 2, he isn't a bad option to bring on for the last 20 if you're chasing the game. But his comments days before a game of this size are ridiculous. F* him. Don't want to see him again.
  8. First to slag Morrison over the years but he needs to play for me. Puts his foot on the ball and he's composed. Far better in the bank of 2 than behind the striker though. I think McArthur panics under pressure and Fletcher will struggle.
  9. Mulgrew will surely play a part. He's just back from injury so I doubt Strachan would call him up to sit in the stands when he could be working on his fitness. I believe Blackburn were playing some of their senior players for the 21's tonight so I imagine he'd have been involved. For what it's worth, I'd have him centre half. Possibly next to Berra with Martin on the right.
  10. Probably ok. Not the first player who was well established down south to come up here and think it would be a stroll.
  11. Are the recommended clubs aware Scotland fans will be attending or are they just recommendations?
  12. I'd go: Marshall; Martin Hanley Berra Kingsley; Brown Morrison; Burke Snodgrass Ritchie; Fletcher He'll go: Marshall; Paterson Martin Hanley Wallace; Brown Fletcher McArthur; Snodgrass Forrest; Martin
  13. Here is your opinion on Brown: 'Retired from Internationals as can't be ####ed but shock horror wants to play at Wembley. Taking away how poor a campaign we've had I think it's a disgrace he is allowed to walk straight back in just for one game. I'd have no problem if it was a genuine comeback and he plays the rest of the campaign but just can't help feel Scot Brown feels he is bigger than Scotland and we are playing to his tune!' One player allowed to retire but not another. Shockingly your interests list 'Rangers'
  14. Can you not see the irony in your post ?
  15. Scott Brown had the highest pass completion rate on the park tonight. Here is his passing stats for the 4 Group Stage games. Barca 94% Man City 91% BM 96% BM 96% http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/celtic-skipper-scott-brown-stars-8938079?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Against Hapoel it was 99%
  16. What a shambles the poppy has been turned into. Newsreaders getting social media abuse for not wearing them as well.
  17. Most would agree with that order I think. Doubt any of us have seen Barry Douglas enough recently to confidently place him.
  18. He's so lazy it's unbelievable. I agree with the previous post that he'll never be forgiven for Cardiff. Not because Bale ran off him, but because he didn't try to follow him. That being said, he was excellent tonight for Stoke. And based on what we have available I'd have him in the squad for England and on the bench as a last throw off the dice. 25 minutes max if we're chasing the game.

    Bardsley

He's shite as well. Play Martin right back.

    Bardsley

Is this thread a piss take ? He was beaten in the air for Swansea's goal for a start. Wayne Routledge as well.
  21. Mulgrew got man of the match against Croatia at left back. I know it was a while ago but he can do a job.
  22. A fit Mulgrew would be in at left back or centre half for me. Probably centre half due to Walcott's pace on the wing. Marshall; Hutton Martin Mulgrew Kingsley; Brown McArthur Morrison; Burke Ritchie; Griffiths Will probably change as time goes on. Certainly a flip of the coin for Marshall/Gordon. Possibly Martin at right back with Hanley moving in. Also quite like Steven Fletcher's all round game. Think he gets a hard time though I understand his lack of goals is concerning.
  23. Agree with the majority. Though I think Tierney is a good crosser and his crosses vary as well. Would be happy with Gordon or Marshall to be honest
  24. Neither do I. Not sure how capable Maloney is of starting in such a big game anymore. Though very few alternatives.
  25. Thank God. His sheer presence lifts the intensity of the team. Too bad we've no decent partner for him.
