antidote
I thought any good socialist wouldn't want the possibility of this happening. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/feb/17/brexit-threatens-british-workers-rights-maternity-leave-holiday-frances-ogrady-tuc-trades-union-congress-eu The thought of voting the same way as David Cameron and the majority of the Labour party makes me very uncomfortable, but it is a vote to stay in from me. It's almost impossible for Scotland to vote to stay by a large margin and the 35% or so of Scottish leave votes to take the UK out of the EU. It would almost have to be literally 50/50 in the rest of the UK. What would be best is to persuade people in England to vote to leave. We need Scotland to stay by a good margin and England to leave. It wasn't my idea. I was pointing out why it's a daft idea. I think that's why Scunny was laughing, but it's hard to tell as he has a strange sense of humour. Rossy
Leave tactical voting for right-wing anti-SNP Unionist lunatics. Just vote how you want to vote.

There are significant elements of the Tory party who want a Brexit so that they can rip up workers rights and return the UK back to Victorian times. And who would stop them ? Unions have been neutered. Careful what you vote for.

Positioning himself to be next Tory leader. Johnson plays the buffoon, but he does nothing without considering his own self-interest first. He really had to take his chances with the outers given that the two other candidates - Osborne and May - are firmly in the remain camp. Rossy
This referendum is shaping up to be a cock-waving contest amongst the Bullingdon elite. That's something they should be used to.

If he wins the referendum he will probably automatically be the next PM. If the UK is to leave the EU it will need to be an "outer" to lead them out. He he loses the referendum he will get the benefit at least of having been at on the "right" side as far as most Tory party members are concerned. Those same Tory party members will have a big say in who is the next PM.
