RenfrewBlue
Georgia away cost us, nothing else. Also letting Poland off the hook twice. We should have won both of those games and that would have made all of the difference.

sbcmfc
Choosing to ignore our own short comings... Agree really. I'm not going to get too hung up on not beating Germany, we were probably unlucky that the order of the fixtures meant they had to beat us, whereas they've maybe not had to win some of the other games. The 2 draws with Poland and draw in Dublin were all games we could and should have won, and then there's Georgia.

Didn't deserve to win in Dublin so a draw there wasn't a terrible result. 4 points out of 6 against Ireland is a good return IMO. Georgia is the reason we haven't made the play-offs. Failing to capitalise when in a great position against Poland, home and away, is the reason we aren't going as automatic qualifiers.
Marky
I think there's far too much talk of stauners, w@nking and jizz on this thread. For God's sake will someone please think of the children.

Squirrelhumper
Georgia away cost us, nothing else. Are you actually thick? Had Ireland lost vs Germany we would have got a play off spot. Your club (who are Scottish and not irish) wanted Ireland to do well to our detriment.
Toepoke
Your club (who are Scottish and not irish) wanted Ireland to do well to our detriment. Not necessarily. If Ireland and Scotland won both their games last week both would still be in the tournament.

We can't change other teams results, only our own.The reason we are out is the loss in Georgia and the inability of our defence to do their job against Poland. Nothing else. The offending tweet was silly but not unexpected from the Celtic PR fannies, it changed nothing.

DoonTheSlope
Not a bad season, although Wilkins was certainly past his "past prime"! I also agree to disagree. That was a terrible season. We ended up in the play offs. Other than beating the real Rangers 2-1 in Jocky Scott's first game there wasn't a lot to look back fondly on
