HampdenRoar
If we lose to Germany and Ireland beat Georgia tonight we will be 4 points behind them with a much poorer goal difference. So we would need 2 win our last 2 home games and hope ireland don't get more than a draw out their last 2.
adamntg
We have to beat Poland. That would be enough for third I believe. If Poland and Ireland draw we'd still be above the Irish. If Ireland won we'd be above Poland. Tonight is really a free go at getting something back, but Poland is the game.
adamntg
If Ireland beat Germany we're sunk, but that's unlikely.
EddardStark
Ireland can't take more than three points from their remaining games. If they get three points or less then we will make the play offs as we should get 4pts. Dunoon_Ton
Our chances of automatic went on Friday more or less, but we still have an outside chance of getting 3rd. Realistically, we will be 4 points behind ROI after tonight, so we need to beat Poland & Gibraltar in our last 2. ROI have Germany at home & Poland away in their last 2, so could easily lose both of them. Remember, its not down to goal difference, its head to head first and we beat ROI on that as we beat them and drew with them. We only need to take 1 more point from our last 3 games than ROI to get 3rd place. Easier said than done mind you.

Grim Jim
Beat Poland and Gibraltar. C'mon, we knew it would come down to that. Unfortunately we need this now for 3rd rather than 2nd. Unless of course...
Lion Rampant
Gone I think. Had we drawn on Friday night then I'd feel a lot better about it, but we couldn't even manage that.

scottincarlisle
I think the Irish will have had a massive boost since Friday. They'll be desperate not to throw it away after being pretty much out.

Guest flumax
We've won all of the last four competitive home games which gives me some hope. Tonight, a point's a bonus but can't see it . My gut feeling for the next round: we'll beat Poland but can see the Irish sneaking a German draw and we'll just miss out.
deecie
We will win the group. Any other chat can off.
Brassrubber
We should have beat the germans in Dortmund so why all the a point would be a bonus negativity. Charge!
smiler82
If we lose tonight then it's out our hands which is really frustrating as arguably we were in the strongest position in group only a few days ago with two home games and a final game v GIB. As mentioned earlier tonight is still a free hit so we SHOULD be in a (controlled) attacking mood

John_B81
Realistically, we'll need a point tonight to keep ourselves within 3 points (presuming Ireland beat Georgia) going into the last two games then will need to win the last two. Do that and we SHOULD get third but it's going to be bloody difficult (stating the obvious).

tjm007
If I were a bookie I'd be offering over/unders at 4.5 points for the last 3 games.
shaggycoo
Anyone thing Georgia will beat Ireland tonight... or Draw... Thinking that earlier on, not beyond the realms and all that... Also, win our next 3 and we'll be sorted!!
Orraloon
I hate it being out of our hands and hoping for other results to go our way.... It isn't out of our hands. Win the last 3 games we qualify - 2 of those games are at home. If we win one of those two home games we will probably get 3rd place. Orraloon
We will win the group. Any other chat can off. Exactly. If we win tonight we are favorites to win the group. If you don't win your home games you normally don't qualify. This time it's a wee bit different in that we can afford to lose one of the home games and still qualify.
