Kids and I had a great time but the Mrs wants something more relaxing next time. Thats a lot of places covered especially with kids. Have heard San Sebastian is lovely . In 2014 we travelled to Split for 3 days , Dortmund for 2 days ( for the Germany game) , Budapest for 3 then Berlin for 3. Was absolutely knackered by the end but really enjoyed the various places. In Morocco now. Its mainly just for relaxation and sun so not seen very much but we are close to a wee village called Taghazout which is interesting . An old man gave me a row for taking a video. I didn’t even reallse until i played the video back later and heard him saying ‘ no video laydee . No nice’ 😂’ I was only taking a quick video of the street he wasnt even in it. The folk are generally very friendly though. Quote

TDYER63 Posted June 8 Author Posted June 8 This part of the board is a bit miserable just now , even the jokes thread has been defiled, thank god for the World Cup ⚽️ So I have bumped this thread from a while back to try and get some cheeriness introduced . One of my own threads of course . My cheery news is that I have been given 2 free tickets to see big bad Barry Manilow at the Hydro tomorrow night ! 💃 It’s not so cheery for Mr Tidy right enough , because its such short notice I am dragging him along. Anyone else going ? My only concern is that the seats are right at the back of the top level so I might not be able to stand up and dance. I had seats there before, for ELO , and I felt a bit dizzy as its quite high. It might have been from the reflection of all the baldy heads in front of me right enough as it was quite an elderly crowd. I imagine tomorrow will be much the same. Any more cheery news out there ? I am a bit envious too , but tell myself that if we have a mare then I haven’t spent all that money, and if we do get through to the next round I won’t have to go through the misery of having to come home at that point 😁 Glass half full on this thread! I really hope the team gives young kids like your daughter something to get excited about. I would have been her age in the early 70’s and still remember how exciting it was.
