Squirrelhumper
Why were there rows of empty seats at front? Only full sections was the Morris Dancers.
sbcmfc
I wondered that too. We had seats in row C of the north stand for a full campaign, they weren't perfect, but not so bad you wouldn't sell them.
mariokempes56
Wondered the same - East had loads as well. Surely worth a tenner ?

COLT NY
Didn't look like the view would have been too badly blocked... Should have given the tickets for free to schools in disadvantaged areas.

Squirrelhumper
They were sold for the Scottish Cup Final. They were sold in the England end - so why not ours?

As daft as it sounds, UEFA advertising boards are higher than the ones normally used - it used to be the same at Ibrox on Champions League nights, the first 3 rows were left empty. That's right, first 2-3 rows of Matthew Harding and Shed Lower stands at Stamford Bridge for European games are left empty for that reason. Why wasn't it the case for all sections then? Was just random areas.

hoofitharder
There seemed to be quite a few empty seats in the south stand upper at the end above the england fans but the sfa said it was a sell out

Unless they were everywhere except right in front of the England fans and middle sections of the North then I refuse to believe they were empty for the advertising boards! wee-toon-red
Maybe they were supposed to be empty all the way round but fans filtered forward to take up the space in certain sections? Just a guess but it did look weird.
