They are not immigrants but neither are they "English" from the perspective of those who are concerned with this and in some instances they are right there are some very insular communities in parts of England where there little integration until the kids go to school. From the 2011 census, 83.64% of the population was English born. Fair enough.... So underlines how different the attitude south and north of the border are given similar demographics then

How many of that 27.5% are white though? Presumably they can be discounted in this equation, as they would surely be accepted as 'proper English' by the UKIP mentality. For example, the grandparents of Britain First's leader were both Dutch.

I realise Logic and Common Sense have never really been your strong points The reason given that England is going right wing/Anti Immigration/UKIP etc is that Immigration is high and we are told Scotland would be the same if we had that level of immigration. Ie Scots would be racist/Foreign Hating /Ukip voting twats if we had the same level of immigration as England The figures here show that Scotland does have the same numbers of Immigrates as England.. and we dont vote for Rightwing/Foreign Hating/ ukip Twats. ( Well some, a very small Minority Do) Therefore there is a difference in attitudes, Scots can absorb Immigrants and still stay mostly Social Democratically/ Left wing while the Attitudes in England are markedly different. . There is due to be a referendum in September - which will not be binding under the Spanish constitution - but the expectation is that if they win, they will declare UDI. If so, then that will make the "Spain will veto Scotland " argument null and void. A Yes vote in Catalonia would be a big boost for indyref2 in several ways. Would be interesting to see unionist's tying themselves in knots over it.

I believe that a lot of politicians don't understand this sort of basic economic stuff. So, it's going to be hard getting through to ordinary folk who have little or no interest. That is going to be the big challenge. It needs to be "sexed up" a bit to make it more interesting.
