They haven't tended to do the business when there's an opportunity to put some pressure on Celtic.

You'd have to fancy them though!

The pitch was apparently awful when Motherwell played there the other week, which might be a bit of a leveller.

I really hope not. Archie and Scott Paterson have both said they're not keen on that option. It's one area of the pitch the club needs to sort out. There's only been a handful of games postponed at Firhill in the seasons prior to this one. The wettest winter in recorded history has caused the problems.

Remember Motherwell had major issues with Fir Park for a couple of seasons but have sorted them out without having to resort to an artificial surface.
