Only recently saw Skyfall and really enjoyed it.

I don't understand folk criticising the plot for being unrealistic. It's a Bond movie ffs!

If it was realistic then it'd be as boring as hell and Bond would have died over 30 movies ago.

Back when Craig was announced as the next Bond after Pierce my initial thoughts were that he was going to be an awful Bond. I always liked him as an actor but just thought he was too chunky and full of muscle to be a Bond. I eventually gave in, watched the first one then became hooked on him. I think he really is braw as him and I'm glad I signed myself up. So much so that I am going to see Spectre tonight in a couple of hours time. I'm a fair excited wee soul.

agreed. i think he is naturally quite a moody person which translates well to the bond character. bond is bascially a bit of a nutter underneath it all and craig portrays that well.

Am I missing something here because I don't think I've ever seen a James Bond film where there has been a strong story,They are all pretty much bollocks in the grand scheme of things, but entertaining bollocks nonetheless.

eh, you can have pretty strong story line, but still accept it's just entertaining bollocks. eg goldfinger

bottom line is you thought it was great, and some folk think it was a bit pish ...... no worries, opinions and all that ...........

If you're expecting The Godfather Part 2 or Citizen Kane then this probably isn't the film for you.

Great point. Don't be duped like me folks. I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy expecting to see something along the lines of Bergman's The Seventh Seal. Well I was hugely disappointed and to make matters worse, no refund was forthcoming when I explained my misunderstanding to a slightly fearful manager.

I can see why you felt duped. As soon as I heard that "Hooked on a feeling" was on the soundtrack I immediately thought of Bergmann, or maybe Reservoir Dogs? I can't quite remember.

Totally agree mate.

Moore ruined Bond by making him a comedy caricature. Connery will always be the best as he was able to be more politically incorrect. Craig is a bit of a throwback to Shirt Sean

I enjoyed it. Would rate it on a par with Skyfall - below Casino Royale, but above Quantum of Solace. Really liked all of the nostalgia.

It probably is longer than necessary and this could be a problem for repeat viewings - particularly if on TV with adverts.
