ProudScot
England playing two friendlies next month, so are some other teams. Would be nice if we filled our calendar for a change, especially with new players and a new system required.Any word on who we are playing? Jagtag
I'd hope we now start looking at our world cup group and play Czech, Latvia or Belarus or one of the Balkans. And sort a Hungary friendly for March.
Snapperone
England playing two friendlies next month, so are some other teams. England have known for a while that they wouldn't be in a playoff though. Having said that, wasn't the Norway friendly arranged at short notice? It certainly felt like it judging on what I paid for fights. ?
McToot
Loads of friendlies being rumoured / confirmed since the last round of games.
Bzzzz
No friendlies would be fine. I've no interest in wasting a fortune on totally pointless games.
McVinceSCT
France or Swiss would be perfect for me!
McToot
France or Swiss would be perfect for me! France already have 2 games. Switzerland possibly do as well. I'm sure they've 1 sorted. Amazing how many people say they don't want a meaningless game and the likes of the Dutch are so quick to make sure they've got games. I think we need games against teams who are strong in attack as our defence clearly need some practice. Problem is we'll not pay the money required to bring decent teams to Scotland. ProudScot
No friendlies would be fine. I've no interest in wasting a fortune on totally pointless games. they're only pointless if we pick the same players and play the same tried and tested as a failure system. friendlies aren't great but we need to try new guys out and there the only way of doing that before the next qualifiers which are a year away
Pete Gas
It has to be Holland surely.
Rory
Hopefully get something confirmed soon! 1 away from home & 1 at Hampden would be ideal!

DoonTheSlope
A long weekend in November in Amsterdam. Are there Scottish league fixtures during the November dates?? No doubt the $FA in their infinite wisdom didn't take any notice of a potential play off DISCLAIMER: I stand to be corrected though

The Black Bra
Don't we need to start looking at the rankings and work out who we need to play based on working our way up the seedlings? Pretty sure that's what Wales did, they didn't get to be a pot 1 team based just on their competitive games: in the last World Cup qualifiers they beat us home and away but I'm pretty sure they lost every other game. We need all the help we can get in qualifying (I know it doesn't always work out that way - you can be in pot 2 and get a murderous group, or be pot 4 and get something manageable). Wasn't there someone who had a website and studied the rankings and worked out who was best for us to play? Think they offered to help the SFA and they weren't interested IIRC...?
