er yir macaroon
Not too popular on here but our form nosedive coincided with him being out the team. He's comfortable taking the ball from defenders and nudging the play along with the occasional Hollywood pass. He's suited to international football and made us tick. er yir macaroon
April 1st?Nope. He would have made a difference in Georgia where we couldn't string two passes together. braveheart_lynch
I like Bannan and although maybe not outstanding can't remember a bad performance from him. However I don't think midfield or going forward is where the problem lies. We're scoring enough goals. We're leaking too many cheap goals in defence and from set plays. Fairbairn
Jesus, what is with the Barry Bannan love in. The fact that he's not been able to cement a place at Derby, Blackpool, Leeds, Palace, Bolton or Sheffield Wednesday surely speaks volumes. Fish Gills Mcginty
I think James Mcarthur can do the same but better
McToot
I thought we toiled to break down Gibraltar at hampden till he came on. He offered a little more directness and looked for a penetrating pass whereas the rest of the midfield passed it back and forth going nowhere. We could have done with him in Georgia. A good option to have on the bench imo.
Dandydon
Id have thought Charlie Adam would have had a case for being involved before Bannen.

SMcoolJ
Id have thought Charlie Adam would have had a case for being involved before Bannen. I would consider Adam in the Naismith (no 10) position against weaker teams. Edited October 14, 2015 by SMcoolJ

Err.. he starts every game of not for Wedsnesday and I can link you threads on Owls forums full of fans saying "sign him up for the next 4 years, he's one of the first names on the teamsheet". As far as I know he played very well for Bolton tooa nd their fans were largely sad he didnt go back to them. He's been playing excellently at club level of late and would certainly be in future squads for me. Some games suit Anya's pace some suit Bannan's more subtle play and incisive passes. girvanTA
He's one player that can unlock a tight defence with a great pass. He's a good link up player
JECK
Seems to change club every few months, don't what that's about. The way he plays his agent should really get him a move to good European league

Fairbairn
If people think Barry Bannan is the key to improving us as a team then maybe we are worse off than I thought.
