I'm not doing the holier than thou routine. Up until about 18 months ago i was pretty unhealthy. I played football a couple of times a week but my diet was poor and i drank every weekend. Then i just decided i'd had enough of hating how i looked and of being out of breath at football. So i started running, going to the gym and eating smarter. Now i feel (and look ;) ) tremendous.

Once a munter, always a munter.

That's a shame. It's just not an issue that the likes of myself, Scunnered, SMCoolJ, Perth Fermer in Us guy, and SqHump need to worry about. Oh, and the big guy with the nose bleeds - when I dream about him he is well hunky. Apologies to those not on my gay fantasy list.

You think Scunnered is hunky? I'm at least as good looking as him. At least!

We love in a society/culture where binge drinking is not only acceptable but actively encouraged. If you don't drink you're a weirdo. Most of our socialising is done in pubs.

It's something that i do believe is slowly changing. We are becoming a healthier nation. I see so many more people out running/cycling/at the gym now, compared to even 10 years ago. It'll take a generation or so to change completely though.

I agree, see a lot more folk going hill walking and stuff now too.

I'm trying to get myself fit now, similar to what you did although my diet still needs improving. Working shifts doesn't help the want to exercise though.
